They're kinda cocky bastards too. I told this broad on the phone that I wanted to speak to a supervisor. She said "sir, my supervisor is just going to tell you the same thing I told you". So i hang up on this bitch, call back and luckily get somebody that speaks english. He figures out that there was indeed an issue and fixes it.

Another company that pisses me off is directv. They have cust. service reps that you can tell are eating food in the phone and talking to the fatty sitting next to them while your trying to explain your problem and then they say "what, Im not sure I understand the problem."

sad thing is that people can't see this and they just talk this bull **** liberal rhetoric about phantom change and more tax and spend programs that benefit the wrong people all in the name of securing votes.........

you really have to have no appreciation for a work ethic whatsoever to suggest taking something that any man/woman has earned and giving it to somebody that doesn't do anything.

it's really really getting to be a scary America. i am honestly proud of a lot of my fellow americans, im proud to the nth degree of our servicemen...im proud of what this country was originally founded on and its freedom principals....but im not proud of where america is going and it aint even close. we are moving towards socialism and there is no doubt about that.

Why would anyone sacrifice everthing, to take the risk and invest into a business, with the hope to make a dollar, knowing that the government will be waiting for 62 cents?

Instead, I can work a job, sitting on my ass, with no risk, and end up with more ROI?

...exactly...and that is what dananderson and fish and the rest of the merry band of obama liberals just don't get.

"The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not." -- Thomas Jefferson

what we need more than anything is a party of the people that represents the vast majority of us. what we have right now is one that represents big business and another that represents big government and the welfare state of america. neither one are going to produce a strong america in the end.....

but for fking crying out loud......for the 1 millionth time, to vote for the liberals and all their socialist bull **** is to vote against everything this country should be founded on principal wise. people came to this country to MAKE an opportunity for themselves and get out of the hand of big government. Notice i did't say they all asked somebody to row the boat over here for them so they could come and pick up a check, a section 8 house, some food stamps and a pack of smokes.....those who first came over here worked hard to build things, make things and put together a new world......

and for any working guy that thinks he's going to get ahead with obama....wait until we have a shortage of doctors because nobody is going to be a doctor anymore because who the fk is going to put out 150K to go to medical school and then work in a socialist healthcare market where you don't make any money....and then go ahead and try and buy something and have fun asking yourself why it costs so much now to buy it......and it goes on and on and on and on.......:ohman:

that was me 2 months ago :bang: . well it wasn't up to me to decide, partly my MCAT was not as strong as I need to make up for an adequate GPA in college to make my application stand out. I'm pretty stupid lol. or incompetent. choose one lol.

but after considering the options, I am gonna cut this "pipe dream" short and I am venturing into other areas/options of graduate level education (or maybe not) while I still can! LOL :beer2:

Teaches me for going out tonight and having an entire debate happen :)

Doctors get the shaft in this country, from both sides. I think they ought to at least be able to deduct the cost of malpractice insurance from their income.

But I will say it again, you could cancel all govt programs outside of perhaps military, service on debt, ss, and medicare, and you will still run a huge deficit that requires adding to the tax burden of your kids.

I do certainly agree we need to do something about illegal immigration and people that are here taking a free ride. That **** pisses me off too. And it double pisses off the people that do it through the correct channels. Funny enough, I was drinking beers this evening with my Nigerian neighbors, and THEY were complaining about the same thing.

In an ideal world, we don't have a 9T national debt, we don't have a baby boomer population coming through the system that strains our entitlement programs, and we don't have to fight like 3 wars at the same time. But we do, and that **** costs money. So we either print more money and go the Zimbabwe route, or we find our own way to fund all this.

So to fund it, since in a country of 300B or so people, nobody is going to jump all at once to solve the problem, you have to do it through the tax system. Ideally, you grow the economy such that you can handle the bets you are cashing, but we seem incapable of doing that at a rate that you need to solve the enormous problems we have.

Hate to say it, but we actually need more taxpayers. Maybe we need to declare amnesty, but on a condition you pay your taxes going forward. And we need cops to then enforce the ******* law so that people who are not following the rules are tossed. That also goes for the losers that hire these *******s that they know full damn well are here illegally undercutting the whole system.

But even then, you are going to need more money to shore up the system. At that point, you have to cut a deal with the rich and help them understand what they are getting for the extra tax dollars. I think if most people knew at that level that the money is going towards having a solvent country and that the money isn't being wasted, I think they would not mind it as much. But I 100% agree that if the taxes go up and suddenly, we have DMVs with free Starbucks coffee for government workers and **** like that, hell, I would be just as pissed as anyone.

I voted for Bush twice, Dole before that, and Perot before that. I am the last person most people would call a "liberal". But the last 8 years have demonstrated to me that the Republicans, when given power, are *just as bad* as the Democrats were before then - if not worse. My fear is that you get McCain in there, you get more wars - possibly with enemies that are far more dangerous than even Al Qaida (Russia), more junk spending, a woman who believes creationism ought to be taught alongside evolution as an "alternative theory" as VP, and no real movement on the greatest challenge of our time currently, moving to green energy so we can starve the people that are going to use energy as a bludgeon against us.

All in good fun, of course. :sm:

                              A couple of points:

                              A) Your going to have an even larger Democrat majority in congress.. meaning.... no more unjust wars....

                              B) You argue that the national debt is a problem (which it is).... yet placing a Dem in the White House with a Dem congress is a recipe for higher spending... actually, as we have found, a Rep pres with a Rep congress is a recipe for higher spending.... Truly, the best scenario is off-setting influences of power. History bears that out at an alarming rate. The bottom line is this: Presidents are extremely slow to veto BAD LAWS that are passed to him by his own party.... And let's not forget... it's CONGRESS that has the largest impact on the Economy... not the president (even though the Olberman's of the world would have you think otherwise)... The JUNK SPENDING you refer to would have to come from a Congress that, by all reports, is set to have 60 of the 100 senatorial seats in the Democrats control.

                              C) Green energy initiatives by Obama can't be funded if he is taxing the very companies that can provide the technology and increasing the capgains tax, which disincentivizes wealthy individuals/companies from funding it (why the hell hasn't the demcoratic congress re-signed the tax credit for wind energy? The last time the credit lapsed it resulted in something like a 75% decline in alternate energy research and development, if i remember correctly).

                              D) What is wrong with Palin's desire to have creationism taught along side evolution? Don't get me wrong.... I'm not high on creationism myself.... at least, not without incorporating evolution as the "vehicle" of the creator. But what is WRONG with teaching them side by side? The whole concept of SCIENCE (you know, the subject which Evolution is a subset up) is that you line up your possibilities, collect your facts, and objectively make assessments. What is so wrong with presenting all of the competing theories (that is all they are... THEORIES) to students and letting them draw their own conclusions? It sounds awfully defensive, to me, for people to want to prevent the teaching of creationism.... Afterall, if you are so sure that
evolution is, in fact, the correct theory.... then what are you scared of? The facts should speak for themself, no?
