If they have any reasonable defense (middle of pack Big Ten) and the line blocks better than it has over the last 2 yrs, I think they have a shot at a New Years Day bowl, but I think we are looking at a Alamo Bowl or lower bowl. Just no Motor City Bowl please....

Just my 2 cents on the big10 and Purdue...

I dont see them finishing ahead of OSU, PSU , Illinois or wisconsin. So that puts them 5th at best and i think that is a stretch to get them into a new year's day bowl. ILL lost some on O but has a great D coming back from all accounts. I think Purdue is in that next tier of teams this year with Michigan, Iowa and Michigan State. They could finish as high as 4th (though i think that's a stretch) and as low as 8th. The schedule is their friend, though, as they get Michigan, PSU (who they seem to play tough), Minnesota and IU at home.....they don't play Wisconsin or ILL which would most likely have been 2 L's. They have a winnable road game at NWU. They will get dismantled by OSU in columbus and will be a stretch to win at MSU or Iowa......i think a 3-5, 4-4/ 7-5 type season is pretty much a good bet.
