:dunno:....huh.........so i guess OJ isn't a loser because we talk about him......:dunno:.....huh.....who's hating on the SEC??........good think Sean Payton didn't quit in NO when his team was terrible in 2005....good thing Bill Walsh didn't quit on the 49'ers in his first seasons........
.
last year was his first year, and since they did so well and went so far in the playoffs, thats why he's been so popular.
was haslett still with them in 2005? I think so.... could be wrong.
but I didnt expect Payton to turn them around so quickly, then again having Brees come over as a FA and drafting Bush, and getting a healthy McAllister doesnt hurt either. Only thing is I expected them to struggle this year, remains to see how good Payton is as he just signed an extension with the Saints.Last edited by Q-Unit; 12-12-2007, 05:54 PM.:hide:

I'll have you to know I graduated high school AND college (despite the 5.5 year lapse to do so lol) and have owned several successful businesses in the last 10 years!
MySpace...now that's funny! LOL!
I guess I could stay online here all day and shamelessly rob PhotoBucket of pics to post here to any relating subject and answer everyone's tech problems like a FCKN GEEK...
But that's what we have you here for, homedawg!
Don't **** with me, bro! I'll break you down like I do FF everyday! LOL! :beer2: :beer2:Comment

going back to the spirit of this thread, though it seems to be true, for the life of me I dunno how running a mediocre NFL team postures you for a better NCAA coaching job?
like Saban and Petrino...
how does coaching suckass Falcons and Dolphins translate into that coach demanding and getting a better coaching job?

Live it, love it, enjoy it, get rich off it, let them build you a statue in 25 years and go die a happy man.Comment

I couldn't agree more. The money now is not that big a difference. It's mind boggling. Get yourself two guys who can recruit the **** out of your area and stay in college and enjoy life in the Top 25 year after year instead of being constantly ridiculed in the NFL because "you can't hack it in the pros" or your "a college guy". Who cares if your "a college guy"?

I mean I can understand Saban...previously with LSU, and Petrino put Louisville on the map, but he didnt exactly light it on fire either...
Spurrier I think could have done better IMHO...but the common theme with all 3 coaches is they were thrust into a situation they have little control over. they can recruit QBs in college not in the NFL.
all 3 coaches were stuck with total suckass QBs...imagine if Spurrier had a real QB. just speculating he could still be a suckass pro coach, but we';ll never know for sure because he's not coming back.
I agree, but I guess in this case they had the "itch" or they just wanted more money/stardom.
Jimmy Johnson did it, and Barry Switzer (to an extent lol), but for every 1 of those, you have 5 Sabans.:hide:

Can I ask when Saban became such a star in coaching, because I missed it personally. He was mediocre at best during his stint at Michigan State, 2 big seasons at LSU, an absolutely albatross of a stint with the Dolphins, and took Alabama straight back in to mediocrity. I'm so lost as to how this guy got such mythical status. I guess if people voted Phil Rizzuto in to the hall of fame in baseball, I can see people think Saban is something special....Comment
