a frustrating 8-12 -9.4 day so far
Clev game was sickening (4 TOs and HE WAS FORCED OUT!!!) and responsible for 7 of the 9.4 u. lost. (take those 2 plays away and I'm a much less horrendous 8-10 -2.4. Damn 'Dawgs!)
Throw in the Redskins disintegration and today makes my ncaa day yesterday a very DISTANT memory

Wow, that is some funny ****. Thanks for keeping us (me) abreast of that doods "copy/paste" antics, Eddie.
Having started out as a flat bettor and an avid follower of the 5% unit rule I couldnt agree more about that mods remarks on Joshs wagered amounts. The 5% rule means if you have a $1000 bank roll your 1 unit plays should be for $50. This rule basically prevents "cold streaks" from breaking you. It works. I should know. lol. Thats why you'll see me make predominately one unit plays with a few 2 unit plays here and there. Every now and then I'll make a 3 unit play if I absolutely love the play. Sunday I broke that rule and it made me pay dearly.
I placed that 5 unit Clev. play because i really, really loved that play. Imo, all the 1stH numbers lined up and the 2ndH projections supported the play. In retrospect it should have been no more than 3 units, considering thats always been my max. I still think the play was a good one but the amount may not have been.
Having said that, 50 units??? Assuming that since someone is posting "units" that person is aware of the 5% rule or what the hell are they basing a unit on???
If 1 unit = .05 and .05 * 50 = 2.50 a 50 unit bet is 250% of their bankroll!!!!
Using the $1000 bankroll example, with 1 unit = $50, a 50 unit bet would be for $2500.
Huh?!
How do you bet 2500 when youre working with 1000???
If the unit was only 2% or $20 of a $1000 bankroll a 50 unit bet would be for the entire $1000!!
That is simply not smart betting.
I dont like to call people out on their betting amounts but I think that mod was right to do so in that situation.
