Reasoning for the play and other plays at the bottom:
IMO San Diego is not a very good offensive team, actually, they are just flat out bad. Outside of LT and Gates what do they have? Rivers? The last few games SD has done the following:
177 yards 3 TOs against Indy
229 yards 2 TOs against Minnesota
237 yards 0 TOs against Houston
Jax is coming off a game in which they shut down a formidable rushing offense in Tennessee. that went for over 250 against them in week 1, so it is also a sign that they are improving as the season is going along, something SD is not doing. SD is giving up 26.7 PPG in 3 road games, and that is including the 3 they gave up at Denver. This Jax rushing attack has only been slowed down in one game, on the road against NO, but that was because they were too busy rolling up 344 through the air. IMO this is a mismatch and Jax should roll.
Probably betting too many now, and one of these is a huge shot in the dark:
Miami +375
1/2 unit
Wash/Dalls Un. 47
Seattle -5.5
1 unit each
Maybe John Beck breathes some life in to a team that is flat lining. I loved watching him play in college and think he will be good in the NFL, so why not take a shot against a questionable Eagles team? They can't go 0-16 can they?
I was about to grade it in the 2Q but I figured I'd give them a chance to "circle the wagons" or something like that. I actually bet a little less than 1 unit, but who's counting?
