Each play is to win the # of units posted unless it's a dog then I'm betting that amount.

After thinking this over my thoughts on this topic are if the Washington Redskins, or any other professional team for that matter, don't want to get embarrassed they should show up to play. These guys are getting paid to play the game, it is their job, at no time do I feel bad for a team that is getting stomped because they're all professionals. I hate Bill Bellicheck as much as the next guy, but if he wants to run up the score then that's fine, he's doing it at his own risk. Do I think it's smart to do some of the things he does? Absolutely not, but he has every right to do so.

Although I don't agree what the Pats did today or have been doing lately and think it's classless, it's a free country and they can do whatever they want. However, Bellicheat is putting his team at a huge risk here. Of course guys on the opposition are going to stop trying when they are being stomped, as they are prolly prima donnas in it for the money and all the "glory" that money brings. However, what is to say someone on the other team is still trying, but their definition of trying is a cheap shot? All it could take is some punk-ass 3rd stringer to not give a **** and just go right after Brady's knees in a 6 possession game w/8 minutes to go. All the Pats hard work would just go right out the window. I'm not saying I want someone to get hurt, esp. seriously, but if a key piece were to go down in the closing stages of a blowout (ie Brady), Pats would be up **** creek. This would certainly teach Bellicheat a lesson and really screw the season over. Just my two cents.

honestly tho, y do people care so much if they are going for it on 4th down with 6 mins left? this isnt high school ball; these guys are pro athletes that get paid and i'm sure they can handle a little embarrassment. if u dont want them to run up the score...simple: do something and stop them.

Esp. sick of seeing that excuse - it's pretty f-ing clear to me (and most others) that the 'Skins D could NOT stop the Pats. I'm just saying if the Pats want to laugh it up now, fine. But they certainly won't get the last laugh when an opponent says, "F this" and dives at Brady's knees, knocking him out for the season, C Palmer-style. Pats won't go too far in playoffs w/Matt "I was benched for throwing an INT in a 4 possession game in the 4th quarter and replaced by the starting QB" Cassel.

Yeah, I can see where fans are all in favor of scoring as many points as possible, not thinking twice about it. But trust me, as a player on the opposite side of this, it is a sign of total disrespect. I played football through high school until I f'ed the back up, but the last thing you want to see is taking advantage of an inferior opponent. Every year there was a few games where we'd win by 50 or so. Starters out by halftime, run play after run play. If you can't stop a HB dive, fine. But when you have to throw 40 yard post routes in the 4Q, cmon!

Coach Ditka, with all due respect these guys are far from HS players. It is their freaking JOB to stop the Patriots, they are paid an obscene amount of money to do so, and if they cannot then that's their own problem. I never like to see scores run up in college or HS games, but this is the big leagues man.

Ha - Hurt Brady's knees? No one has gotten near Brady in weeks. Sending in a "3rd stringer" to hurt Brady is not a risk, because that "3rd stringer" has no shot at getting anywhere near him since most "1st stringers" can't.

                That's funny.

It's been echoed by a few people on here, but again, it's Washington's job to play defense... play it. Whoever used the ridiculous excuse that "it was pretty clear the Redskins couldn't stop them" has got to be kidding me? Who cares if they can't? It's their job. It's the offense's job to score, they did their job. Plain and simple.

I think it's funny that people get all fired up and call him "Belicheat", and are wishing injury upon Brady (even though they swear they don't want to see anyone get hurt), and such things. It's pro football, some of these guys get paid more money than most of us will ever see in a lifetime. Who gives a **** if one team "runs up the score" and is out to prove they are the greatest team of all time.

I'm not a Patriot fan at all, but I absolutely LOVE watching the Patriot offense play. It's a beautiful thing.

                  lol...this seems to be a weekly thread.....dejavu!

It seems simple, people that have been fading the Pats are pissed at them running up the score every week (with a few exceptions), and people that are backing them seem to be fine with it. lol! Like I said...trying to score every time doesn't bother me, neither did the stealing signs, b/c as Larry has been saying, it was a common thing....but I agree with the guys that the 4th down **** was bush.

^THANK YOU! :beerbang: for a second i thought i was the only one here that thought that way. these guys are grown men that get paid insane money to play a game. they say to play hard for 60 minutes and thats what the pats did yesterday. i have no problem with that. its pretty obvious the skins quit seeing they let matt cassel run a 20 yd td on them.

What are you talking about? The Patriots have blown out every team they played this season. Why should this be different than the other 7 wins?

A win is a win and a loss is a loss. Skins best the Jets next week and most people will forget about this loss. Yea, its only a loss because a loss is a loss and a win is a win.

I think I accidentaly become a pats fan this weekend:

                          Colts 7-0
                          Titans 5-2

Colts Lose, Titans win: 7-1 to 6-2 If Tenny beats Indy in Indy and they both win out...Titans can pick up the Division.

At least my cowgirls had a lead at one point, and our D did get to Brady once and cause a fumble. I think that is the key, no one has been able to get to Brady. He gets to stand back there and just pick apart defenses. Put some F-in pressure on his arse. I agree, if you can't stop them don't blame them.

I'm sorry, I live in Denver, but I went to school at SMU back in the 90's when Troy was drafted and we went 1-15. Always been a loyal Cowboy Fan here in Denver. Been a while since they've been good and IMO DaBoys have a shot at going to the Super Bowl this year.
