I agree with this statement 100%...and it might be to that point this week....which is why it'll be the first week I'm not on 'em. I mean, Cleveland has looked pretty good. NE will probably cover at home, lol...but way too many points for me to take it this week. That'd be nuts. Last week's NE line was the easiest gift of the year so far, maybe in a few years...but this game is not, IMO. I mean, Cleveland is a better team than Cincy...and gets an opener of 17 compared to 6? Cleveland or no play for me....and most likely a no play because of home field.

GL with whatever you play on that one guys. :beerbang:

I think the NYG offense didn't play well at all- 3-11 on 3rd down, just 129 yards passing. The Eagles piss poor pass protection made the Giants look better than they are defensively. The Giants are still allowing 5.2 ypc on the ground, & if the Jets establish the run, Chad can work the play-action. Yes he has a noodle arm, but IMO is one of the better qbs off play action. Both Romo & Favre ate the Giants D alive, & I think the Jets will move the ball too. +165 looks pretty good for a *Homedog*
I'm not defending or backing the Giants....just saying the Jets suck. I agree with what you're saying, but Penningnoodle is not Romo or Favre, lol. The league has figured out to just play all 11 guys within 20 yards of the line of scrimmage, jump the receivers routes since it's pretty obvious they won't be going deep too often (if ever), stop the run, and you stop the Jets. They are a team that even I, as probably the biggest anti-public dog lover on the planet, have a hard time backing right now, lol.

SF mustered 184 total yards vs. Seattle, 289 vs. Pitt, 186 vs. STL, & 194 vs. Zona! Granted they have faced 2 good defenses b2b, but 186 vs. the Rams? While Dilfer at qb may be an upgrade, I just don't think SF has the offense to move the ball consistently vs. anyone right now. I think the Raven's slow start has a lot to do with their injuries. Ogden missing a couple games is a pretty big deal, but despite that Willis is starting to run well (that bastard). Defensively, they have missed Rolle bigtime, as well as Pryce on the defensive line. I would think Rolle & Ogden both play this week. Last year the Ravens started off rather slow, & after b2b losses @ Denver & vs. Carolina, they went on the road & beat the then-hot Saints pretty convincingly. IMO this is a team that could easily be 3-1, & SF just isn't as good as advertised this season...
SF isn't good, and I said that, but Balt just isn't either. When you go down 2 TD's early, the yards pile up cause you're in a hurry and you pass alot (53 passes for a team whose identity is to run the ball and play defense??!!??)

I don't think the Rams defense is that poor either. Getting whipped by Dal really isn't that pitiful, since they've scored on everyone they've played so far, including the Bears, who are "supposed" to have a good defense. In addition the STL defense held up pretty well vs DAL until they started getting blown out and turning the ball over in the 2nd half, at which time they seemed to either tire, or lose interest, or both and Dallas started making some huge gains and scoring at will.

It is however, tough for me to make an argument for backing SF at this point....but I can guarantee I won't be backing BAL.

Not trying to sound like a homer but I think this will be a very tight game. Lucky enough to have scored a ticket from my "friend" who is a Packer fan and will be there Sunday night. Not that it means anything but the 13 Bears games Ive been to, it has been an even L W L W and so on, so it should be a W obviously haha. Seriously though, I think our D will be better as they should be a week healthier. It also helps that Griese got his feet wet so now should be ready to get in a groove (or else we screwed). However, Benson will have to run better for us to win. He needs to run the power back advertised and stop being a little bitch. Packers have no run game and if our front 7 can pressure Favre into bad throws and a few picks, we have a very good chance. Green Bay has been very impressive thus far but they obviously aren't going to run the table this season and have to lose at least once. Thus, why not this game? Rivalry game and Bears will want to make a statement on national TV after embarrassing themselves 2 weeks ago against the 'Boys. Just my two cents.

I think I'm going to *gulp* back a road fave in Baltimore this week. I just don't think the Niners can generate enough offense to beat the Ravens. However, I'm going to wait & make sure Ogden plays. WTF is Rolle's deal? He still hasn't practiced & is listed illness. Anyone else wondering why the Rams line is sitting tight, despite Bulger's absence? Also, anyone else think Atlanta catching so many points is a sucker bet? I would think many are thinking Atlanta can keep it close, but the Titans run D is damn good, allowing only 63 ypg. I think a 10 pt win by the titans at home is not out of the question....

                    SD/Den

With regards to the SD/Denver game .. SD is a one dimensional team meaning they can only run the ball. This is different from last year where Rivers was effectively able to spread the ball. Sure Denver is second last in the NFL in terms of run defense, but what are they expecting of SD? A heavy run game. Bet your bottom dollar that Shani will have his team prepared accordingly. Also, even if Rivers decides to throw the ball (not a very talented pool of receivers outside Gates and Tomlinson), SD is facing the best pass defense (by far) in the league with the dynamic duo of Champ Bailey and Dre Bly.

Balanced teams make for successful teams. Going into Mile-High and winning (despite recent numbers) has never been easy. Shani and co. will be equally as upset over last weeks loss to Indy. Sure SD has had a tough schedule but I beleive in team chemistry and leadership, both of which SD is lacking.

Don't necessarily like the game but I would go with Denver. Best of luck to all!

Is there a more contradictory sentance? lol
                      Never been easy?
                      Yes, it has been "easy"....
                      "recently" it's been easy.

I think KC is the best homedawg and best play on the board. both teams seem to be fairly similar statistically, with KC's schedule being slightly tougher, and having the homefield.

I also like NO at home -3. I'm under the assumption Delhomme is out here, otherwise I don't like it. With Deuce out that means more touches for Bush, which can only help him mature faster. This season is pretty much on the line, especially playing a divisional opponent at home and already 0-3.

Also like Wash, SD, and prob playing StL and SF.
