Browns give up on Charlie Frye

Dude starts week 1 for them, has a bad outing and gets dealt to Seattle 2 days later. Unbelievable.

Memo to Cleveland. You need more offensive lineman. Ol' Charlie wasnt the problem!

Big time scapegoat but Clevelands loss was my teams gain. With some time and work with our staff he'll be a solid back up. He's better suited to our offense anyway. I also like that it frees up Seneca to be used in other roles a little bit. He may be our most athletically gifted athlete and cause Greene just flat out stunk we couldn't risk him coming in for the odd play that changes now.

100% chance Quinn gets rushed into this league before he's ready.

They might as well told Fyre "OK, were going to call a time out, you got 30 seconds to run across the field and be on their team". That was ****ty to say the least

Derrick Anderson will start in Week 2
Cincinnati will lay the lumber to them and he will be pulled for Brady Quinn at Halftime

Derrick Anderson will be traded to Kansas City before Week 3 and Brady Quinn will be your starter with Ken Dorsey behind him.
If it ain't fun, don't do it!

What I don't get is how in the hell you go through training camp and all of pre-season and settle on a starter. You give him all the reps in practice and the coach says: "I stand behind Frye." You let him play 21 minutes and bench him and then trade him. What idiot...excuse me...what ******* idiot does this....I mean you devote everything to this guy and now you have 1 week to bring your back-up up to speed? Which books have props on the first coach to get hooked?

Charlie Frye has sucked and been a disappointment ever since he came into the NFL. I agreed with the move to start Anderson before he gashed the living **** out of the Bungles hapless defense today (stated in JML's thread). Actually, I had said a few times last year already that the Browns were a much better team with Anderson at QB than Frye.

Granted, winning one game against a team with a bad defense does not a hall of fame QB make, but Anderson is better than Frye. He's proven it every time he's gotten a chance, and this was a good move for the Brownies to dump Frye and his salary.
