    First Round Upsets?

I can see Washington knocking off Cleveland.

It's only a 5 over a 4 but LeBron going out in round 1 nationally would get alot of attention as an upset I think.

Suns, Wizards & Raptors all win outright, IMO... :beerbang:

And yeah...Wizards not too much of an upset...in fact, they are listed pretty close to a pick'em at most books...

I have the Suns WINNING the West facing the Celtics in the Finals. Phoenix flying under the radar a bit this year, not the top seed...and I think they get it done. Spurs, Hornets, Jazz & Lakers can all be had, IMO...

cavs didn't impress me at all this year, even after the late trades.
They limped into the playoffs, while keeping a close eye on the 4th seed.
This should be a tight series, even though the cavs took the wizzards out, the last 2 years in the 1st round (2006 4-2, 2007 4-0).
One positive for the cavs is, the home team has won every game this season.
Me thinks, cavs win in 7. :beer2:

I just don't see the Wizards winning the series over the Cavs... not as long as LBJ is on the court. Pavlovic is out for the series & everyone writes them off? The Cavs aren't the best in the East, but the Wiz? It would be one thing if they've shown me anything this season, but there are too many question marks. How healthy is Arenas? Butler?. Washington finished their last 8 road games 3-5 su (congrats to beating the Bulls, Sonics & Kings). The 5 losses? Utah, Detroit, Lakers, Magic, & Portland (4 playoff teams). They lost 4 of the 5 by 20+ points! To play a series line (assuming the dogged team doesn't have court advantage), I have to believe the team can take one on the road. The Wiz just don't offer that IMO. From a betting standpoint, I don't see how there is value in such a a short line for the Wiz... I would need +170 or more to even consider it. I'm leaning on the Cavs for the series, & will likely play them on the ML game 1.

I agree there is no value in BETTING the Wiz, UD. Either team could win, and I "think" the Wiz win in 7, but it could go either way, and I'd need +150 to lay a unit...

But yeah....it'd be tough to fade Lebron too...especially with the trash talk from Washington coming out lately....he might go off in a serious way...

I'd even take the wizzies at +150 or more. :beer2:

I don't know JML, Bosh will have his hands full there. My problem with backing Toronto is their record on the road vs. playoff teams. 3-10 on the road vs. Eastern playoff teams. The Magic finished the regular season 8-5 vs eastern playoff teams.

Nearly 2 to 1 on the Rockets look good to me, mostly because they have the home court advantage. The Jazz are favored that large yet have serious trouble winning on the road...

"Superman" will have his hands full too. Yeah...I just think it's going to be a close series, so there's some value with Toronto IMO. Likely the Magic in 7. Probably a homer view though...
