NY Knicks @ Boston Celtics Tonight

    Line: NY Knicks +13 @ Boston Celtics O/U 190

Looks like I hopped onto the Knickabocker train too late. I knew after all this Isiah bashing, NY would get their **** straight. Pulled off two nice wins in a row, and Boston just took their second loss of the season in OT.

Line seems about right considering Boston's talent, NY's winning streak, and Boston coming off a tough loss and returning home.

Some early line movement for the day from -13 to -12.5. In the past few years the boston/ny came has basically been a crapshoot with two pretty disappointing teams.
Boston has gotten way more defensive this year, holding teams like GS to wayyyy below their average. Probably cuz of garnett with the blocks and on the glass.

    So what's everyone's opinion tonight?

    My lean:
    NY +12.5
    Over 190
    2023
39-39-2 Plays, 26-25 Leans, System Plays (2-1), Half System Plays (2-4)

    2022
43-46 Plays, 24-28 Leans, 4-4 System Plays, 2-0 Half System Plays
Playoffs 8-4 plays, 1-2 leans, 1-0 Half System Plays

    2021
    36-29 Plays, 25-31 leans; Playoffs 3-3 Plays, 0-2 leans

    2020
    18-16-1 Plays, 18-18-1 Leans; Playoffs 6-2 Plays, 0-1 Leans

    2019
    15-8 plays, 7-6 leans, 2-1 Heavy MLs

I dont know about the side, but I like the under....rested teams have tendency to perform better on defense most of time. Common misconception is that some think that just because a team has had a day or two of rest, they are gonna come out with 30+ points in the first quarter and just lay it on.

Dont get me wrong...boston definitly wins IMO, but like the under for like a 94-81 type game

Look at Boston's play at home vs. the road

Both losses are on the road (Celtics are home tonight)

Both losses came on balanced attacks from the opposing starting 5 (something NY won't do)

Outside of 1 game (vs. Heat), the Celtics haven't won by less than 13 at home (undefeated)

          Take the Celtics line
          27-17-1, +14*
          CFB (16-11-0)
          NFL (7-5-1)
          MLB (3-1)
          NHL (1-0)

          Go Canes!
          Go Dolphins!
          Go Heat!
          Go Marlins!

thanks for the opinions guys. I think I'm gonna lay off NY now. I usually look for shady lines, and this line isn't shady. I might actually be considering going the other way at this point.

It's a strategy I have. My web site posts the "half juice game of the day" which is -105. It usually is a trap game though, where the obvious pick loses. I thought Boston was the obvious pick, but it might be New York coming from back to back wins and boston losing a tough one. I might lay the points on this one.
