Where is that -105 juice? When I get some money I plan on using that site. Can't believe you are going against the cavs though. Guy im playing cards with keeps saying memphis is a lock because of so many people taking the Cavs, I refuse to believe the games are set up, it is a back to back for the cavs but even without Lebron and being a back to back the cavs should be able to waste this Memphis team.... I refuse to believe the nba is rigged. Cavs are 10-2 without Lebron and 3-0 this season. If the Cavs somehow lose to Memphis that is completely insane.

Looking good so far tonight.. Drew to answer your question...

To me betting on NBA (and all professional sports) is a business. It is meant to stay competitive much like the stock market. If the team that should win did everytime nobody would watch and betting would not exist. Success (like the Cavs have been having) attracts even more competitiveness. When you look at good teams, you look for (to steal an investing term) "economic moats" or protection to ward of the competition. A substantiation if you will for their success. This means that even when highly-emotional public market is down on a team failures, it won't have as much of an impact on them as they have this margin of safety. I personally feel the margin of safety for the Cavs is LeBron, at least in the public viewpoint. He is the one thing that is keeping that team afloat when all else fails. Without him it is hit or miss. For all the reasons you stated, I think this is a perfect time for a weak defense to catch a break w/o LeBron on the court and win this one. The universe is mechanical, nobody will be able to time it, but we all know upsets will happen, and more often than not, they will happen in the same situations (where the moat is gone). Like stock prices, what goes up, must come down (including a Cavs team minus it's superstar). The fact that they are 3-0 w/o him is the perfect reason to fade. The public is very emotional, and has gotten too optimistic about the Cavs I feel, bidding up their stock price if you will, and thus my play on Memphis. Of coarse I'm not always right, in fact lately I've been off in the NBA, but as this is my first season capping basketball full time, I will hone my skills for the future as I'm exposed to different scenarios where the "unexpected" happenes. That was probably confusing as hell with all the stock references, but like my old title used to say, "I' don't bet, I invest..." Hope that gave some insight into my reasoning. Cleveland up by 7 right now, little ways into the 2nd quarter, so we'll see. GL Tonight!

PS - I get nickle juice wednesdays at VIP.com. However, I wouldn't reccomend it as a top tier sportsbook. Sucks I got so much damn money in there.

The Cavs are still a good team without Lebron and a great team with him.

Agreed. But w/o him tonight, they don't win.

Bull**** man. Where do you get that from? 10-2 without Lebron, how do you figure they would lose against the worst team in the league? Be realistic man. The cavs still would have won without Lebron Im almost positive. I don't see how you think they would lose without him when they are the 2nd best team in the East, the best eastern team against the west, and have done nothing but win and put up a ton of points without Lebron in the lineup. So the Cavs have proven they are a very good team without him but from some reason they were going to lose to Memphis today? Think about what you are saying, it doesn't make sense. The Cavs could play their bench the whole game and still win. They are an elite team, why do you refuse to give them credit? You must be from Memphis or something or you don't realize how good of a team the Cavaliers are. Bad pick you even if Bron was out.
