One of my favorite bets for NASCAR races is on the caution flags prop, Ov/Un.
Phoenix averages 7.6 caution flags per race.
Our sponsor Bovada has set the number at 6' -105.
Last year the number landed on 6, just short of what I need today on the Over I want but being that we've got a woman driver (Katherine Legge) in the field today (for the first time this season) I know where my money's going.
You got to figure she'll be good for causing at least one or two crashes right?
(Don't tell Ms. Vroom I said that, I'm just kidding, it's a joke!)
The real sexists are the books - I see at least 30-40 different matchups and not one using her (for me to bet against.)
My buy:
Ov 6'
Update #1: Just eight laps in and our first caution already.
And guess who was involved.
I'm not saying she caused it, I'm just saying...
Update#2: Lap 14 and I've got caution number two already.
Update #3: Lap 92 gets me caution flag number four
(I missed caution flag number three? Must have been channel flipping.)
Update #4: A wreck on the restart gets me caution number five.
A seven car pile up.
None of the guys in my matchups involved.
With 200 laps to go Over 6'' is looking really good.
Update #5: With 96 laps to go caution flag number six is out.
Guess who caused it.
Update #6: $$$
