    Bayne 39th in pts

I read alot of articles (racingone and nascar.com) and I can't find anything why. Is this a mistake. OK I found that since he is not racing a full schedule, he is not included in the points race. How fkd up is that.
    If its fun, do it

I remember couple years back Mark Martin did not run full schedule and he was included in Chase points. I could be wrong.

This year NASCAR forced each driver to select what championship they wanted to run for (Trucks, Nationwide and Cup)

You ONLY get points for the ONE series you elect

Bayne elected Nationwide so thats the ONLY series he gets points in.

Same will go for Carl Edwards and Kyle Busch...and even Tony Stewart for that matter...the can't get points in the Nationwide series either.

      So
Daytona 500 winner - Trevor Bayne - NO POINTS
Nationwide winner - Tony Stewart - NO POINTS
Trucks winner - Michael Waltrip - NO POINTS

Basically....the winner in each series did not get any points for winning the race they won...

Not excatly sure thats what NASCAR's intent was.
If it ain't fun, don't do it!
