Point Spread:
LA Clippers +3.5/Portland Blazers -3.5

Over/Under Total: 194.5

Moneyline: Clippers +140/Blazers -160

Pick: Clippers at +3.5

Analysis: Believe it or not the Clippers have won 6 out of their last 7 games and are starting to show signs of having some team chemistry. Those wins didn't come cheap either as they had some of the most formidable opponents in the NBA (Lakers/Nuggets/Heat) and they were all won convincingly.

Portland on the other hand, has won a couple games in a row but the competition was less than impressive (NJ/Sac).

The Blazers played last night at Sacramento and had to take a flight back to the Rose City. This isn't a huge variable when handicapping games (moreso if a team is on a long road trip and back to backing it or playing 3 games in 4 nights) but it doesn't hurt as a go against either.

If you're familiar with the historicals of this matchup, you know that Portland has pretty much dominated the Clips for quite some time. The wins were not cheapies either. The Blazers have won by 9, 14 and 21 in their last 3 vs. LA at the Rose Garden.

So why are we hot to trot to play a Clipper team that usually sucks at P-Town? They're HOT, not to mention they didn't have Blake Griffin in their lineup in those previous games. One player doesn't make a team, however, he's going to pose some serious matchup issues for an undersized Blazer team that just lost a key piece to their puzzle in Marcus Camby.

The Blazers may very well pull this one out, but I believe the Clippers cover here in what should be a close game. Good luck!

Are you laying -110 odds when betting on basketball? Did you know that you can lay -105 at 5Dimes?
