Yanks already sent him to the minors. He had a bad spring and there really wasn't a chance he was making the team anyway after the Igawa signing. I personally don't think he's near as good as these Yankee fans think he is, and I think Cashman and everyone else realized it this spring. Apparently,Tyler Clippard and Jeff Karstens are still starting pitching options ahead of Hughes if and when Pavano gets hurts (and when Igawa sucks).
The reason we've heard about him forever is because for two years he was the only guy in the entire Yankee farm system who had any real major league, impact potential.
