Poopstains.....8.0 games out after one day....yuck. The broadcaster's jinx is alive and well at Predictem.

12 hits and 2 runs in the 2nd game.....just poop.

          Here is a DREAM:

Milwaukee wins 3 of next 3 against Chicago:
          Chicago is then 66-66
          Milwaukee is then 67-66

The Reds take 4/4 against Pitt makeing the reds 64-70

Thus by Thursday Night the reds are 3.5 games out??????

Or the exact opposite could happen.:bang: :bang:

Yea, those light hitting 2B's with 55 career games played at age 27 are always sure bets to hit it big in the majors. I'm not sure Keppinger is the guy to be focusing on as the future or anything, but enjoy the Mets and Royals reject.

PS - Remember the name Frazier!!! You'll be seeing him in a couple years!!!

Off the top of my head, Ryan Howard was in his mid 20's when he made it to the majors too. 25 if I remember correctly. That seems to have worked out ok.

Not agreeing or disagreeing on Keppinger, just saying....

You're comparing Ryan Howard who is 6'4'' and 235 with Jeff Keppinger who is 6'0'' and 180 and couldn't stick with a terrible Mets team and then the Royals? Really?

Howard made it to the majors at age 24 for 40 games and then logged 80 or so in 2005 at age 25. Keppinger has been a career minor leaguer and

Howard is a different situation altogether...I think he wasn't drafted until 2001, when he woulda been 21/22....then he spent only three years in the minors (but woulda been 1-2 without Thome at 1B), where he won 2 league MVPs in AA and AAA on his way rocketing to the bigs. Howard was a "can't miss"...Keppinger is a "maybe" who's been traded around.

Looks like a player though :beerbang:

Not comparing the two players AT ALL. Just saying that success at the highest level doesn't always have to be achieved at an early age, or on the first try. In other words that some guys aren't born with the natural ability, but work their asses off to get where they wanna go and eventually get there.

Seriously, look around at some of the players in MLB (ALOT of pitchers) that were complete busts when brought up to the majors, ended up bouncing around from team to team, maybe back to the minors a few times, and then turned into a pretty good player/pitcher after some experience and coaching.

JML can correct me if I'm wrong here, but if I remember correctly Roy Halladay sucked pretty bad in his first stint in the majors, went back to SINGLE A, worked on his mechanics and came back up thru the system. That turned out pretty well.

There are so many examples, and each one an entirely different situation, but my only point was that to say a guy will always suck just because he didn't succeed on his first try or two, or because he's already 27 years old makes no sense.
