Nice 5-1 day on Wednesday, with only my Jays losing...how 'bout dem Rangers
Indians +100 (Westbrook) vs Tigers - 2 Units
Don't see why the Tribe shouldn't be favoured here...Westbrook has really settled down and pitched unbelievable for Cleveland the past month...and Robertson has been horrible. Throw in that ****ty Tigers bullpen, and the Tribe's good numbers against lefties...and I like the + money and the Indians all day.
Orioles +100 (Traschel) vs Twins - 2 Units
I'm going to back the O's coming off that embarrasing doubleheader yesterday...hopefully they show some pride, come out hard and defend their home park. They're not exactly facing any hot bats, with the Twins finally scoring some runs last night. Traschel's been good in August, with quality starts against some good hitting clubs in Bos/Sea/Tor. On the other side, Boof's been consistantly giving up runs every start, and is winless in 12. I have a feeling Baltimore bounces back at home tonight.
Red Sox -184 (Beckett) vs White Sox - 4 Units
I'll back a large ML for the second day in a row...I know it's really not a good practice to consistantly do, but I've always felt you can pick your spots in bases from time to time with large favs, and come out on top. This is an example IMO. Beckett has been insane on the road all year (8-1, 1.65 era), and Danks has been awful the past month losing all 4 starts with a 7.91 ERA. He has allowed 27 hits in 19 innings. Not good if you're facing Boston. The guy is consistantly bad, seemingly always giving up 4-6 runs, and only lasting 4-5 innings. Boston hits lefties well, and already has one blowout win over Danks last month. Boston also coming off a tough loss to lowly TB yesterday, and I don't see them losing 2 in a row to these bottom-feeders in the middle of a pennant race, especially with this pitching matchup.
Mariners -124 (Weaver) vs Rangers - 2 Units
Fading the Rangers after that power display yesterday in sweeping the DH. This one should be a lot tougher against the very good Mariners team...and I don't see why I only have to lay this low number. Just a guess, but Texas will not put up 30 tonight. Weaver has been pretty good, turning his year around...and Loe is 1-3 with a 6.31 ERA in five starts since the All-Star break. Easy decision to back the much better team in the heat of a pennant race on this number.
Blue Jays +141 (Litsch) vs Angels - 2 Units
I'll take a stab at my Jays as a big dog, with them coming off 3 losses in a row. Litsch a consistant starter...just needs some run support...hopefully the Jays can get some off Santana. He looked good in his first start back from the minors...but I still don't trust his stuff...the guy is over-rated.
