    MLB Thurs 8/16

    ytd 429-429 (+51.61 units)

    Florida -110
Washington +150 (this line is SOOOOO BAD)
    Pirates +117

    2 units each

Was going to back the Tigers just because the line seemed worth taking a shot at, until I saw Verlander and the rest of the team were battling the flu, so no thanks.

Might add the Dodgers or Dodgers over however....and for some reason I was looking at KC again, for the same reasons as last night, a HUGE pitching mismatch on paper....although that didn't work out too swell last night, so I'm not sure yet on that one either.

        Adding:

        Dodgers -145

        2 units

Hopefully Derek B-Lowe can put together a few good innings for a change, cause I have to fade Wandy on the road at this number, especially considering the LAD numbers against LHP.

Bad road team? Gotta disagree with ya there. Phils are .500 on the road and that is better than over 20 other mlb teams.

Good luck tonight stif, like the Dodgers.

.500 on the road does not warrant that line IMO, especially when the Nats have been playing well at home. Just because 20 other teams suck on the road too doen't mean the Phils don't suck on the road, at least that's what I think. I would make that play 10x over again with a line that high....

Well Cole Hamels has earned that type a line against a Washington team that has trouble scoring. He shut them out tonight.

I would play that line every single time. It was horrible. Unfortunately not every bad line turns out to be a winner, but I can guarantee if you played that line 100 times with the exact same situation, you would be in the hole at the end if you took Philly every time.

And there's nothing special about being .500 on the road. Not to justify a -160 to -170 type line going against a team with the home record of Washington (check their home record since the ASB), a pitcher who has stats just as respectable as Hamels (although admittedly not as large a sample size), and one of the most solid bullpens in the league.

Easy easy choice to take Washington at +150 tonight, and like I said, I would do it every single time.
