    JML Friday >>>

    MLB YTD: 246-217, +39.42 Units

    Indians -118 (Carmona) vs Yanks
Carmona has some of the nastiest stuff in mlb...so to get him on this low of a number facing a rookie who struggled his first start off the DL last week. With these 2 pitchers...anyone else than the Yankee pinstriped uniforms, and this is -150. Tribe are at home no less...where they kill (37-22). Yanks not a good road team. Nuts, IMO.

    Marlins/Mets OVER 9.5 -110 (Action)
Fish starting a rookie, who was "OK" in AAA, in his mlb debut against one of the best lineups in baseball. Mets starting journeyman Lawrence with his 2nd start in 2 years. Rare total play for me.

    2 Units Each

Considering the Tribe myself. Their lack of run support lately doesn't thrill me, but Hughes and being back at home might be a cure for that. If CLE was dogged, it would be a definitely play for me. Hoping the line keeps going down with most on the Yanks so far....

yeah...dog line would be insane...this line is insane IMO....it's Carmona vs freeking Hughes. And it's not like Clevelands a last place team...and yeah...the offense hasn't been great...but they did put up some runs against vets Garland & Buerhle, so I expect some off Hughes.

      Adding...

      Blue Jays -112 (Marcum)
      vs Royals - 2 Units
Marcum as solid as they come...especially on the road...seems like pretty good value for my home team...

Yes it would be, but they're playing NYY, and you know how that goes with their lines, lol

          adding one more...

Red Sox -104/-107 (DiceK) vs Orioles - 4 Units
Was thinking about taking Bedard at home, cause I like backing him, but after a closer look, Boston wins this game IMO. The starters look like a wash, although Boston does hit lefties well, and might be able to get a couple. But Boston needs this game to keep pace with the charging Yanks....while Baltimore is playing un-inspired lifeless baseball in a going nowhere season. Also...the O's bullpen is atrocious, while the Sox is maybe the best in the AL (Okijama/Gagne/Papelbon anyone?). So if we get two expected good performances by the starters, with a tie or 1-run game going to the pen, I like my chances with Boston as a pick'em. The Sox also completely own the O's this year, and the past few years.

          GL.

My thoughts exactly....seen bedard pitching at home..first instinct was to take them..then looked deeper and came to same conclusion. I like boston here too ..GL JML

              GL Low!

Added two more units to Boston @ -107...making it a 4 unit play.

                  Marcum a no-hitter in the 7th...but he's got a hurt leg...

Boston blows it....unreal...and after the O's bullpen did their usual stellar job just like I thought. lol. Gotta feel Boston was the right side, and Okijima holds that for Papelbon more times than not. Oh well.

Marcum continues his stellar work on the road...great job Shawn! :beerbang:

First losing day in a while...on to tomorrow...not seeing much, tho...

heard today that Peca is real close to signing with NYR. He is a guy that i can't figure out how good a career he has had. You hear so much about him, but he sure doesn't put up big numbers and he seems to be injured a lot. But i think if the leafs could lock him up for cheap, he's worth, IMO. Kind of that "intangibles" type player. Leafs sure could use a big gun up front, though. Get it back tomorrow....

FF....yeah, this offseason's been weird for Peca...doesn't seem like anyone wants him....first he says he wants to come back to the Leafs, almost begs....and offers to come cheap.....we don't bite for some reason...then he says he'd like to go back to Buffalo....they surprisingly don't bite, even after losing Briere and Drury....now he says he wants to go to NYR. We'll see what they say. Sure is an ineteresting way to peddle yourself in the offseason....he's like the ugly hooker hanging out in the Vegas lounge. Where is this guys agent? He's still a top notch penalty killer and 3rd line centre.

emv....I agree...not seeing much.....I got the A's so far, and that's it. Putting my plays in tonight, as I'm hitting the links tomorrow, then my Stag and Doe party iis tomorrow night.

Astros with Wandy @ home do look nice..A's do look nice as well but I'll be at the Tigs game tomm and I don't wanna root against them...Only other play might be the Yanks, they are so hot right now and to get them at almost a pick is a steal regardless of the numbers and the matchup...
