    Chien Ming Wang = OVERRATED

This guy is the most overrated pitcher in the game, I'm sorry. If he weren't on the $200 million Yankees he would be about a .500 pitcher. He can't strike anyone out in a big spot, and he beats up on the bad teams (in addition to having that monster lineup for support). He has 13 wins so far this season, and has 7 against winning teams and 6 against losing teams. He's beaten the Royals twice and White Sox twice, two of the most god awful hitting temas there are in the majors.

He had 19 wins last year, and will probably get about 17 this year, but who cares? He pitches for the Yankees and gets plenty of run support. When people were mentioning him for the Cy Young last year, that was laughable.

Ground Ball pitcher so he can double them up when it counts.

Other than that, yes, over rated. I wouldnt put him anywhere in top 5 and could think of plenty of others to bump him out of the top 10.

Agreed....and I could come up with 10 guys I'd rather have than Wang, and easily....and keep in mind I'm going off recent success with some, and career-long success for others. All in the same, I think all of these guys are better pitchers than Wang.

Not in any particular order, and I'm sure I left some out. This was just off the top of my head:

      Zambrano (CHC)
      Haren (OAK)
      Halladay (TOR)
      Santana (MIN)
      Lackey (LAA)
      Hudson (ATL)
      Smoltz (ATL)
      Webb (ARI)
      Sabathia (CLE)
      Verlander (DET)
Oswalt (HOU) - still makes the list due to career success, despite poor road numbers this year

Oops, I guess that's 11, lol....and this doesn't even include guys like Liriano (MIN) and Harden (OAK) who are injured, but were far better pitchers than Wang when healthy....and any up and comers who I like better than Wang, but haven't proven just quite enough yet, like Carmona (MIN), and a guy like Hernandez (SEA), who I think has far more potential than Wang, but has been slowed due to injury and age (he just turned 21 I believe...give him some time)

          I must have missed it....
Who claimed that Wang was a top-10 pitcher in baseball? I mean thats ridiculas if somebody claimed that.

He might be a top 10-pitcher in the AL however......but I don't actually recall anybody claiming he is a top-10 pitcher in all of baseball????
If it ain't fun, don't do it!
