here we go again back at it with a nice full card tonight as we get to see some new serieses kicking off and some big ones this weekend....last night saw a 1-1 night as Zito looked like Zito and the Giants bats couldnt put Tomko out of his misery but heres what I am rolling with today
Atlanta -160, 2 units...Smoltz has been absolutely dealing recently and all season long and the Braves have been hitting the hell out of the ball and I see no reason why it wont change with J.Francis on the hill who has struggled over his last 5 outings and the Rocks arent the same team on the road, and I think the Braves know they need to keep pace and a Smoltz win is what the doctor ordered
Minnesota Twins -130, 2 units...Johan at home at this price, prolly a trap but whatever, Twins need to keep their season alive and they get their ace who his pissed and I am sure he will want to show the Twins management why he is griping...plus this is a big emotional game for Twinkies and I will take the bullpen advantage as well, and the Tribe bats have seemed to go cold...
Phillies +140, 1 unit...I back these guys at almost any price so its no surprise with me on them, but Kendrick has been pitching very well and the Phillies seem to always put up runs for him when he is on the hill, the way I see this series playing out is Phills take the first 2 and then lose game 3, Milwaukee also is not the same team they were the first half of the season....
Seattle -105, 1 unit...Seattle feasts on lefthanded pitching and they play very well at their home field, and these guys have had the BoSox number at Safeco, Lester comes back down to earth tonight, also gonna take a look at the over in this game as I feel it has the makings of an 8-6 Mariners type of win tonight
O's-DRays Under 9, 1 unit...when they are on these 2 pitchers have some really good stuff and I am gonna take a chance that they are on tonight
Nats -110, 1 unit...Nats coming off a nice series vs Reds, while Cards just lost 2 of 3 to lowly Rats, I will take a AAA team at -110 at home vs Kip Wells, Redding has been solid in his last couple outings as well....
