    ***UDoggie's Saturday Bases***

    2ndh 56-58-2 +18.54 units

    1sth 252-269-4 +1.22 units

    6-4-1 +2.98 units yesterday...

    Screwers/Cards u9.5-115 gm1

    Screwers-112 gm2

    Ligers/Halos o10-105

    A's/M's o9-110

    2 units each

Parra finally up in the bigs... he was 3-1 with a 1.74 era in Nashville including a perfect game. This guy could be the real deal, I would watch him closely. The Cards are hitting .257 vs lefties, & have only scored over 3 runs 1x in the last 4 games. Thompson's last 3 home starts have all been under 10 run totals. Lefties are hitting .355 vs Thompson, but I still think this is a solid play. 4-3 either team IMO. 2nd game is backing Cappy at a short price... yes the Brewers have lost in his last 10 starts, but he pitched well the last time out going 8 innings & giving up 1er @ Cincy. The Cards have lost 9 of the last 10 with Reyes on the mound, & he hasn't made it out of the 5th inning in his last 6 starts. I did say a couple days ago that the Cards may have 1 more go in them, but I don't think it'll be with Reyes on the mound vs Cappy.

The Tigers are starting to show wear from this long road trip, & I would suggest laying off them (at least until Monday vs the A's). I think the Halos win, but I'm opting for the over. The Halos are hitting the ball well, & practically their whole roster hits lefties well....

    Willits .354
    Cabrera .319
    Vlad .304
    Anderson .327
    Figgins .329
    Itzuris .342

6 of Detroit's last 9 games have gone over 11, while 3 of the ASngel's last 4 have as well. Will be looking into the Halos team over as well, & if they get under -120, I may have to play them too.

Gaudin has returned to earth 2ndh, with a 7.17 era in July. In 13.2 innings, he has given up 15 runs. Although Ramirez is a better road fade, I think his 5-0 home record is smoke & mirrors. He has a 1.79 WHIP & a 6.75 era. Also 8 of his last 10 starts have gone over a 10 run total. Although the A's don't hit lefties all that well, they should be able to generate some offense off Ramirez. I think both teams get to atleast 4 runs each.

Thinking about the O's rl, Nats gm 1, Braves & hoping the Rats/Phils total drops to 9.5 (yeah right). GLTA

Changed my mind about the Phillies/Rats over. Looked good (based on the sp alone) until I dug further. Although this is Youman's 1st start on the road, he's pitched well. The Phils only hit LHP .264 at home, & Utley's abscence will impact this team greatly. Thinking of Phils team under, but not out yet.

5 Dimes is taking their merry old time getting some of these lines out today, aren't they? LOL

And yea, I'm not really liking the odds of an over hitting in any game involving the horrible Pirates. I was considering a play on them today because I like the way Youman has pitched, but in reality, how can I back that horrible team until they show at least some signs of life? What are they, like 2-11 since the all star break? If i was forced to make a play on that game, it would be on the under.

With ya on the Brew Crew/STL under for game 1. Brewers have the worst BA in the NL since the break, and Thompson has good numbers against them, and STL doesn't exactly light the world on fire vs LHP either. Lets hope this Parra dude doesn't choke now that he's in the bigs :beerbang:

Yeah Stif...stepped out for a while & there were no team totals up @ 11!

Parra pitched pretty good according to the boxscore (didn't watch), looks like the pen blew it big time. Of course Thompson getting lit up ruined the play early :blackeye:

I haven't seen a single person on the White Sox, so I'm playing it LoL. Halladay has a 5.25 era on the road, in 9 road starts he is 4-3. He lost his last 3 road starts & his last 3 before that he allowed 17 er in 19.1 innings. Buehrle has a lower WHIP at 1.18, & I can see him being up for the duel today. Plus the Sox have made me some loot the last couple days.....
