    Daddy's WESTSIDE Thursday (7.26)

Man, tough 2-3 yesterday, all 1-run losses. A's drop it in extras on a pass ball, Putz blows it in the bottom of the 8th, Dodgers manage 1 run on Albers and a Stros tired pen. WTF? :dunno:

Starting today with a non-west tail from you guys... I like this Lannan kid, he's been tossing straight smoke down in the minors. He's amped for today, and fits perfectly with udogg's idea. Phillies can't close the sweep at home.

    NATIONALS (+160) = *3.25 UNITS

    BOLT!

Looking to go big on my A's today and make back some of the money they've lost me this 2nd half. The Mariners are running around with their heads cut off.

They toss the kind on his debut??? I'm listening to these Phillies announcers talk about how this isn't the place to learn how to pitch. The ump needs to protect the stars. WTF? The kid knows how to pitch dumbass... maybe he's a young blood making his MLB debut and was nervous??? He might need to go back down to work things out, but only way to get rid of the nervousness is to get big league action. Now he has to try to forget what is probably the worst day of that kid's life.

Just cause Utley and Howard are the Phillies money makers doesn't mean some guy making his big league debut should have to get tossed for thier "seniority". Utley and Howard get paid millions of dollars to go out their everyday with a risk of being injured. There is NO WAY that Lannan was throwing at either of them. Phillies didn't make any fuss. Throwing players out of the game is to remove emotional players that have other motives than achieving a win by following the rules. If Lannan hits 10 guys in a row on accident, and the Nats want to keep him out there, then so be it. Wendlecrap should go shove it.

      C'mon Nats... get mad!!

I agree with ya 100% ....bad call throwing him out...down only by 1run with 0-2 count on utley...no reason to hit him.

Look at that... only needed a little switcharo of the avatar and things start going my way. Nice work Nats!!

Swisher's lack of performance was slowing mine down as well, so I went with the greatest. Sure-fire jump start to get back in black. Here's the card for tonight...

          BRAVOS/GIGANTES = GIANTS (-140) = *6 UNITS

          - No Chipper, No Edgar... their two hottest hitters are not in tonight.
          - Linececum has figured his stuff out. Unfortunately we're paying for this recent dominance. Should however continue none the less.
          - Public is all over the Braves as a doggy... and the line continues to increase.
-Two starts since the break, Carlyle has beat cream puff teams (PIT, StL). Lincecum has been shutting out the best offenses in the NL (MIL, CHC).
          - If Wickman comes in... as he is still Bobby's closer... Giants still win.

          FIRARS/ASTRONAUTS = TBD

          DODGAS/ROCKS = TBD

          FINS/RATTLERS = TBD

          ATHLETES/SEAMEN = TBD

I agree- pretty crazy how he was tossed so quickly. Utley ended up with a broken hand.... part of the game, but I really like watching him play :blackeye:

Lannan didn't know what was going on... kid looked like a deer in the headlights when the ump tossed him. Glad the Nats came back for him... I like the guy, hope he sticks around. Next time out we should get a SWEET price.

              FRIARS/ASTRONAUTS = ASTROS 1st 5 Innings (-120) = *6 UNITS

              - Wandy has been lights out at home, the opposite for Dave on the road.
              - Houston doing what it takes to win at home, the Padres doing what it takes to lose of the road. They just came from long ball central in CO, and didn't much if make any noise. Good luck in Houston.
              - Not going to back this Houston bullpen that is being worked hard... Padres pen is bound to snap back into top form. Bell, Brocail, and Hoffman sound better than Martin, Moehler.
