    JML Thursday >>>

    MLB YTD: 227-206, +16.04 Units

Red Sox -110 (Gabbard) vs Indians - 3 Units
Prefer the youngster over the struggling Lee.

    A's -122 (Haren) vs Mariners - 2 Units
Cy Young candidate Haren over Jeff freaking Weaver on a low number any day of the week.

Astros -120 (Rodrquez) vs Padres - 2 Units
Two teams going in opposite directions...Pads playing like ****, they really need to pick up a bat or two or there's no way they win the West...Houston playing some decent ball lately, especially at home. Seems like some good value here fading the struggling Pads bats without one of their aces on the hill. Some good info on this game in UD's thread as well.

Looking at the day games, but don't see much.
Gawd I'm hung over...English soccer fans are bad influences! :beerbang: :blackeye:

LOL, and rightly so considering who he pitches for. I'm actually liking SEA to get back on track in that one after some tough losses at surging TEX....but GL

Yeah, but Oakland took 2 of 3 (1 run short of a sweep) against one of the best home teams is baseball (LAA), and looks to be finally scoring some runs to go with their great pitching. And it's haren vs Weaver. Jeff Weaver. lol. We'll see.

Weavers getting very underestimated in this one, take away a beating by detroit where he had 7 laid on him and the guys allowed 1er, 3er 0 er, 1er, 1er, 1er,and 1er in his last 8 games. Haren at that short a price is tough to pass up as well. Lifes so much easier as just a fan lol

But consider LAA is sucking ass right now, losing 7 of their last 10, and 15 of their last 25, including a sweep at the hands of KC and dropping 2 of 3 to TB.

The one game they beat up on once again injured ****hole and over the hill Bartolo Colon, so that doesn't even count IMO. They did beat Escobarf 4-3, and managed a few off Lackey early yesteday, but then he settled in and shut em down until Frankie Rodriguez did his usual as of late, come in and give up runs in the 9th, and force the game to extra innings.

IMO the Angels are a tad overrated and come back to earth a bit here in the 2nd half, after playing like a house on fire in the first half, and I actually firmly believe Seattle is the better team between them and LAA, and will win the AL West going away once it's all said and done....which brings me to that Seattle is 31-18 at home, LAA is 32-16. Not much difference, except that if this game was at LAA, the Angels would be slight faves due to public perception that LAA is the **** cause they had a hot stretch in the 1st half, while Seattle remains, IMO, undervalued.

I agree. Weaver has done a fine job lately minus the game vs DET, and the OAK offense doesn't compare to that of DET, so not hard for me to overlook that one slip up tonight.

Basically, I'm just saying that a play on SEA is about as good as it gets tonight for a home dog opportunity, and potentially live home dogs are the first thing I look for when i check over the card each day, so it stood out to me early.

Yeah...LAA is sure having a bad 2nd half....I could see them making a trade before the deadline....maybe Glaus....they should feel lucky to be in a division where the closest team chasing them is playing even worse! I mean Seattle had a real chance to get the lead here with LA stumbling...and what do they do? Also...I'm not sure Seattle lost to a "surging" Texas team. The Rangers had actually lost 4 of 5 coming into the series against Seattle, and had lost 6 of 10 since the break. The only reason they're "surging" is because the ran into a bad Seattle team. lol.

That's true...he has done well. He is a confusing player from year to year.

I hear ya. You are great at picking those home dogs, and I ceratinly don't like seeing you possibly against the A's...as I value your picks and info greatly!

                        GL! Nats looking good!

I think he is getting the respect he deserves....at only +110 against Haren. I mean this is a team that has lost 6 in a row....its not like Seattle is playing well.

If this game was played 10 days ago and Seattle has lost 6 in a row the line would be +150 or more on Weaver and Seattle.

The fact that Haren is at that short of a price shows how much respect Weaver is actually getting IMO
If it ain't fun, don't do it!
