Sorry, i was away and just got in, but basically, the Sux left alot of guys stranded last night in their loss. I've noticed (although I don't have any numbers to back it up) that teams who strand a ton of runners and lose on any given night usually win their next game, or at least score enough to win provided they don't give up an unreasonable amount themselves.
I know everyone's got a hard on for Bonderman, but Vasquez isn't a joke either, so that really didn't concern me, as I saw the pitching matchup as a wash.
The final factors were that the public is pounding the bejesus out of Detroit for both games, and I didn't really see Detroit pulling the sweep (neither do the oddsmakers apparently considering the low lines for Detroit), so I figured I could come back in game 2 with the White Sux as a dog again if they lost game 1.
If they hold on here and win, I will more than likely play the Tigers in game 2, because I don't really see the awful White Sux winning both of these games today either.
In other words, this DH had split written all over it to me, so I am trying to take advantage if it happens.
Reds +125
St Louis +135
KC +2.5 -115
SD/COL under 9.5 +100
2 units each
After looking into Detroit/CWS game 2, I don't see how the hell I can back the Tigers with the tool they have taking the mound for that one, so I passed completely.
