    Daddy's MLB WEST Friday (7.20)

Liking the card we got here today...

Not making a play on the day game today, Marquis has been rattled lately, and Webb & D-Backs are iffy at best on a day road game. They might be my favorite team to fade this 2nd half. Still starting my thread now, cause I do have a lean!!! One of these pitchers gets his feathers ruffled today IMO. I'm a solid (7-10) -2.55 Units on my leans so far this 2nd half. Heh. But only NL I'm (6-6) +0.1 Units. Gots all the splits for the 2nd half so far down below if anybody cares enough to have a gander. I'll try and post em every couple weeks or so... BOLT!

Good thing I laid off that game, everything was just too close. Congrats to those of you on the Cubbies, but by no means was that game ever over, at least not until Ramirez broke out of his homerless streak. Here's the first two games starting tonight...

The Rockies is a no brainer for me... which somehow is usually a bad thing. I've always backed Cookie, although never really layed the money on him cause he doesn't get the run support any Rockies pitcher requires. He only tossed 70 some pitches in his last outing (he went solid 7 IP) so he should be well rested for tonight. Tonight though the Nationals are waving the white flag I feel by sending Traber out there. This guy is automatic to give up runs if he goes more than 1 inning it seems. Even looking at his relief appearences this year, he's yet to go more than 1 inning and not give it up. Even if that wasn't enough the Rockies threw their "B" list relievers out there last night while the Nats came with thier best IMO. Tonight should be reversed if indeed the game is close. The Nationals are still fighting to be the NL's worst team despite this winning streak they've started, while the Rockies are looking to make a push with their young offensive talent. The Rockies owned this series taking all 8 games last year, while the Nats got the first this year. If you ask me the chances of them taking the first two, even at home, is around 20%. Makes the Rocks at -140 look pretty nice. BOLT!

      ROCKIES/NATIONALS = CRACK ROXS (-140) = *7 UNITS

MARINERS/BLUE JAYS = Pass... Lean on MARINERS (-105)

Well no write-ups for these... I thinks most are pretty clear cut picks. Nobody should stop the Brewers at home, especially not the Giants and Lowry who's been crushed there. Gotta take that line with Lackey over "That ain't real stearling..." Silva. I will give props to that Twinkie pen thou, they're the best. Back with the late late games when I get home from work. BOLT!

          GIANTS/BREWERS = LAGER LOVERS (-140) = *7 UNITS

          INDIANS/RANGERS = Pass... Lean on UNDER 10.5

          ANGELS/TWINS = HALOS 1st 5 Innings (-135) = *6.75 UNITS

They just stopped their losing streak last night. They're at home... For me, nuff said. Bedard coming off back to back shutout performances... come on, even money on Bedard is super fishy. He's 0-6 against the A's.

I'm going to to stay away from the last two games of the night after what I saw happen to Glavine and Lowe. And the Phillies.

            ORIOLES/ATHLETICS = ELEPHANTES (-110) = *5.5 UNITS

I can't stay away. This is the Padres game to lose... top 5 of the Padres order have had a hay day off Eaton this year. Germano is pitching to keep his rotation spot after he got word that the Padres are looking to deal for a starter, and cost him his spot. Padres have too much to play for in this one to just roll over.
