I think it'd be different for Rios than it was for Bay, Bay was expected to contend, I don't think anyones expecting Rios to do anything. Smaller framed guy playing up in Canada, the fans prolly dont know a lot about him. I could see Fielder feeling the pressure

I took Pujols to beat Rios in round 1 when Pujols was -200 thinking it was a great bargain and now the line is down to -185...makes me worried the books want people on Pujols...

      Guess we'll see!

I think Fielder might be a great fade today.

Well...we're opposite thinking on this contest! LOL.

Don't see how there can be any value on -200 with 2 players with similar stats....Pujols is the big name, so he gets -200....but his HR's are WAY down this year....only 16 at the break, one less than Rios. He'll probably take it, though...he's definitely the veteran. Just don't see any value in the number.

I also took Fielder to win...lol.

I'm counting on Rios hitting only 1 or 2 in the first round. If that happens, then there's a tonne of value! :glass:

Fielder could win. What do I know? I try not to get sucked into baseball anymore...

What i was basically saying is that I watch alot of SF games on the MLB ticket and the park definitely plays towards the strength of right handed power hitters over left handed ones. That triples alley in right center is just brutal. I've seen guys absolutely crush balls to there and they either land in front of the wall or just barely hit it.

It just doesn't seem that way because SF doesn't really have any consistant right handed power hitters, besides maybe Bengie Molina (and that's stretching it), and Bonds is always the one hitting the notable home runs....usually to right....plus the whole park is just big to begin with.

Nice call on those who took Rios though. At the given odds, for him to come in second was great foresight. And did Vlad actually hit one off that huge glove in left center last night? I thought I saw the one hit off there....but wasn't paying too close attention.
