    Yesterday's yanks game

I don't understand how the yanks lose with this reasoning, what am I missing? Baltimore, scored in the bottom half of the inning to take the lead. Given the rule below, it seems like the game should be decided when was called. Thoughts?

Major League Baseball games are official after 5 innings of play, or 4.5 innings if the home team is leading. If a game is subsequently called or suspended, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning unless the home team ties the score or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning. Then the winner will be determined by the score at the time the game is called. When wagering on total runs or run lines, the game must go the regulation 9 innings, or 8.5 innings if the home team is leading, otherwise it will constitute a "No Action" wager, and all money will be credited accordingly.

I lost this way earlier in the year. Stupidest rule ever IMO.

BUT, the rule states that the team leading at the end of the last full inning (in this case the 7th) will be graded as the winner (Baltimore led 6-4 after 7 innings).

Since the Orioles didn't bat in the bottom of the 8th, the game was considered over after the bottom of the 7th inning, and the runs the Yanks scored in the top of the 8th don't count (as far as the sportsbook is concerned anyway).

Like I said, stupidest rule ever. All bets should be no action IMO when a game is not completed.

            right but it says:

If a game is subsequently called or suspended, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning. I got that part, that would be baltimore up 6-4, but it you read on it says........UNLESS

unless the home team ties the score or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, which baltimore did. They were down 4-2 and came back in the bottom half of the last full inning (the 7th) to take a 6-4 lead. The rule states that when the home team ties or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, that Then the winner will be determined by the score at the time the game is called.

I just had a live chat with the guy on sports book, and they added language to the rule which said "unless the home team ties the score or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning that the game is suspended in, which does not make any sense, because at that point you would go to the score that the game was suspended in, which would be the bottom of that same inning

I just hope the people on Baltimore won, but I think they use this as a rake to take the sides cash they will win on. If Sportsbook.com were still publically traded, I would take it to their corporate officers, but since our government ****ed us (er, I mean protected us), that is no longer an option.

That is some pretty bad wording. I've never deposited $$ at Sportsbook.com, but from what I hear it's like playing with monopoly money.

I have several books and keep as little money as possiable in each (just cuz I don't want to get burned) I just happened to play a two team parlay (for small change) Tigers/Yanks. Really it is just the point.
