MLB YTD: 169-145, +26.44 Units
Blue Jays +138 (McGowan) vs Giants - 1 Unit
Jays looking to avoid the sweep. Two young pitchers who are their respective teams top "future" prospects in the rotation. McGowan has been great since joining the rotation... Linecum a little greener.... like the Jays as the big dog.
Dbacks +207 (Hernandez) vs Mussina - 1 Unit
Yikes. Another really high number. Yanks are on a roll...but I have to take a chance with a good Livan pitching for the Dbacks. Mussina, remember was having a terrible year for the Yanks until he "turned it around" last start....but that was against the horrible bats of the White Sox. I still think he doesn't have his best stuff this year, he's only throwing in the mid 80's, and there's no way he should be laying -207.
Padres -191 (Peavy) vs Drays - 2 Units
Rarely play a number this high, if ever, but I like this spot for Peavy, with the Pads losing 4 straight, and facing the very hittable Jackson....I think the Pads win this alot more than they don't...so I'm willing to eat some chalk here.
A's -102 (Blanton) vs Astros - 1 Unit
Like the A's as a dog with a hot Blanton throwing...he's only given up 1 run in his last 2 starts, and that was a solo shot to Papi. He's completely shut down two of the better hitting clubs in all of baseball (Bos/Min). Oakland was on a serious role before losing last night, and I can't see them losing back to back against the Stros.
Braves +115 (James) vs Twins - 1 Unit
Like James' stuff this year, and I'll back him as a dog against the inconsistant Silva.
Cardinals -106 (Wainwright) vs Royals - 1.5 Units
Time to fade KC coming off two straight convincing wins, and I'll take the Cards as a pick'em. Odalis has horrible career numbers against alot of the Cards hitters...especially Pujols, who absolutely owns him. Odalis is always good for 4 or 5 runs, and Wainwright is solid. Just fading KC's recent hot streak with the bats...this is one of the worst teams in the AL at scoring runs, and I don't think it will happen tonight. KC also going for 3rd win in a row, also rare. Just like this spot to fade KC at a pick'em.
Mets +123 (Sosa) vs Dodgers - 1 Unit
Third straight dog line for the Mets, and I'll try again....Sosa's been great, and the Mets need to avoid the sweep, and need this win bad.
