    Tuesday Discussion

Big card today, hoping to get a little chatter here....

So today's the day the lines get out of control....

    Halladay-250

    Sabathia-275

    Escobar-191

    Smoltz-235

IMO they could all win, or 2 could lose. I really would love to take a shot on a dog, but which one? Fading the Indians is out of the question for me, I'm actually considering playing them on the rl- a great offense backing CC vs KC who has trouble generating runs. IMO De La Rossa gets hit hard today.... Fading Halladay would mean backing Sonnastine in his major league debut, & Roy is 5-0 last 6 starts vs TB. Don't think I want to do that either.... fading Smoltz means backing Vanden Hurk= no thanks.

I guess I would be inclined to play on the Twins- Escobar is off a bad home outing, & the Halos are off a 16-3 rout. Problem is Baker has a tendency to get hit early, & the Halos have a tendency to jump to early leads... Oh yeah, & the Halos are 23-8 at home.

    My leans....

Padres- playing great ball, & Young is pitching well.

Arizona, Detroit & Brewers too. Thinking about Oakland, simply for the +150 home dog. Also like Mitre/Fish, may play team over 4.5.

    Thoughts?

Yeah...I stayed away from all that juice today. If I was forced to take one RL fav, it would be the Tribe. I think this is the first time I am not playing Halladay all year...he's had some decent value this year, but not today.....the middle of the Jays order is stone cold (Wells/Glaus/Thomas)...they lost ANOTHER player to injury (Overbay), and -250 is way to much to eat IMO...even with Doc pitching.

No way would I ever back Escobar laying near 200....he will give up crooked numbers from time to time and is far from an ace....really love the over in that one actually.

Like the fish (Mitre gets value EVERY start...he should be healthy as well), and the Tigers (Padilla fade).

    GL UD...

Thinking about a money line par myself

        with Halladay and CC

i like the DBACKS and Randy Johnson today also ...He has only given up two earned runs in his last three outings and i think with the stikeouts he has had in his last 3 outings ( 6,10,9 ) it is safe to say HE HAS HIS STUFF WORKING ..

          Also Matt Cain is struggling

          with his control ..
          May 31
News: Cain fell to 2-5 on the year after surrendering four runs over seven innings in the Giants' loss Thursday.

Spin: He allowed 10 hits, walked two and struck out five. Spotty command was again as issue, as Cain fell behind nearly every hitter early on. He gave up all four runs in the first two innings but was unscathed thereafter. He gets the Diamondbacks at Chase Field next time out.

DBACKS are rollin ... Swept the Phillies in the ILLADELPH and just took 2-3 from Cusefan's Mets at Shea

Yeah Rheinecker gets the go. I played the Tigers rl+100... they are batting .305 vs lefties this year. Also played the Fish/Reds rl @+140 each & the Brewers. After getting roasted on chalk Sunday, I'm at the point where I would rather not have a minus in front of any of my plays. If I'm up, I'll likely eat the chalk with the Padres though
