I think it's been about 7 or 8 winning days in a row...
Monday: 4-2, +3.53
MLB YTD: 149-114, +51.79 Units
Tuesday:
Marlins -115 (Mitre) vs Braves - 1 Unit
No respect for Mitre again...I'm going to start calling him Rodney. This Mitre kid has been a dog or pick'em EVERY start this year, and he has been lights out almost every time...and his best might have been his last 2 outings against the Mets and Cubs holding them to 0 ERs. Braves have not been playing good ball lately, and have a AAA spot-starter going for them in game one. Braves are most likely going into today expecting to split with Smoltz on the back end...I know that's what I am expecting.
White Sox -116 (Buehrle) vs Yankees - 1 Unit
LMAO. Another bull**** Yankee line that I have to get a piece of. Much like yesterday we get a Yankee rookie on the road facing a good veteran at home. Yesterday's Bronx fade was a pick'em, and this is close to it once again. Beuhrle 2 hit my Jays last start (with no walks), and looked great. Tampa has the same record as the Yanks...if they were facing Buerhle with a rookie on the hill it would be -170. I don't get it...but what the hell, I like it....I might name my new boat the "Yankee Fade". FYI...if you would have faded NY every ML from opening day...you would be up 21.5 units on them alone.
Tigers -123 (Robertson) vs Rangers - 2 Units
Tigers bounced back to win 2 straight convincingly against the very tough Indians, and come into Texas to face the horrible Rangers, and the worse Padilla. Robertson struggling a bit, but still gets the advantage over Padilla who might not be in the majors much longer. Padilla fade.
Red Sox -158 (Matsuzaka) vs A's - 2.5 Units
This is a rare big fav play for me, but something tells me Dice-K gets it done against the A's. Yeah, he was rocked against the Tribe, but Oaklands bats are weak, and Dice-K seems to pitch better away from Fenway this year. Dinardo nothing special, and the Bosox usually rock lefties. Got a feeling they win this one easily after losing a close one yesterday after flying in late...hopefully they got some rest, and play like the best team in MLB.
Twins/Halos OVER 8 +100 (Baker/Escobar) - 2 Units
Don't get this line at all...so I'll make a rare total play. Baker lasted only 3 innings getting rocked by a Chisox team that were struggling to hit. Escobar a decent starter, but inconsistant, and will give up runs. Angels and Twins two of the top hitting teams in all of MLB. Angels really tear it up at home. I'll take my chances on a real low number here at + money. You usually only see 7/8 totals with two top of the rotation type starters...we get two middle to back-end guys here...facing good hitting clubs. Booyah.
