    wednesday bases

    (61-34)(+18.82 units) favorite bets
    (36-31)(+16.46 units) underdog bets

    (95-62)(+35.28 units) overall

I have been saying that I had the feeling more dogs are going to start coming in and I should start leaning that way. Well guess what? Last night I went 2-0 on dogs and 0-3 on favs. Overall I only lost 1.24 units, going 2-3 for the night. Those two dogs kept me from taking a beating. Confidence a little shaken right now. I have been having some losing days, just not a string of them. Here is what I have come up with for Wednesday.

Atlanta -124 vs Milwaukee……………..I am taking the braves for pretty much the same reasons I did on Tuesday. Go back and read yesterday’s write-ups, and insert Hudson where it says Smoltz. Brewers won last nights game. I don’t see them beating Smoltz and Hudson back to back.

Phillies -114 vs Arizona…………..Zona took the first two games of this series, so this is a very important game for the phillies. These two geezers pitched against each other already once this year at Arizona and the phils came out on top 9-3. Randy Johnson is still a very capable pitcher, but he does not strike fear in batters hearts like he used to. There is no intimidation factor anymore. There are high school kids who throw harder than Moyer, but Moyer has great location and changes speeds well. (slow to slower to slowest). I think phils bats get to Johnson in the middle innings sometime in this one.

Houston -108 vs Cincinnati……………Just read yesterday’s write-ups once again for insight on this one. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure this game out at Houston. Somehow Cincinnati won last nights game, it was one of my losers. They won’t get so lucky tonight.

White Sox +100 vs Minnesota…………..Nothing special about the Twins unless Santana is pitching this year. White Sox getting healthy again with Thome back and the offense is improving. Sox the better team, have the better pitcher throwing and are the underdog. My gut tells me the sox pull this one out in Minnesota after getting crushed last night.

Mets -145 vs San Fran……………..Glavine, Glavine and some more Glavine. I will take Glavine at home vs just about anybody if I am laying less than -150. The only exception would be against a top notch pitcher, which Zito used to be, but not anymore. I think this line shows a little too much respect for Zito. I hate to admit it being a phillies fan, but the mets are going to run away with the division. As a phillie fan I might need to start thinking about a wildcard. The mets just find ways to win games. I hate them, but you have to respect them. Mets found a way to pull out last nights game and they will again tonight.

I sort of went against what I have said by playing favs in four of my five games. I guess I need one more night of losing to prove to myself about the dogs.

    Good Luck Everybody!!
