    JB's MLB Thursday

    YTD 67-56 (+17.39)
    Pending Plays:
Arizona Diamondbacks to win world series (+4500) - 1 unit
Milwaukee Brewers to win world series (+4500) - 1 unit
Cleveland Indians to win the AL Pennant (+1200) - 1 unit

    Starting with these....

Minnesota (-135) Vs. Cleveland Johann Santana takes the hill for the Twins in the hope of avoiding the sweep aginast their division opponent Cleveland. I will go ahead and back Santana to get the job done at a pretty fair price.

Milwaukee (-118) Vs. Philadelphia Like Minnesota, Milwuakee turns to their ace Ben Sheets to avoid a FOUR game sweep at the hands of the Phillies. Phils have been real impressive in this series but I think the Brew Crew will do what the have to do to avoid a rare four game sweep. Hopefully they can get to Freddie Garcia early and often.

Texas (+142) Vs. Tampa Bay Tampay Bay has not won four straight in over a year and have not completed a three game sweep all year. That is about the only thing I have going for me in this one as everything else points to TB getting this done. I will go ahead and put a unit down on Tex at +142 though.

San Francisco (+175) Vs. Houston Its Roy Oswalt for Houston and Mini-Oswalt for San Fran. I will take Mini-Oswalt for ONE MILLLLIONNNN units...LOL. Like San Fran in this spot though. The only bad thing is Oswalt...but at +175 I have to take my chances with Lincecum. Oswalt is 2-4 with a 4.53 in his carrear against SF so myabe they will have his number again tonight. I think we will look back on this in a couple of weeks and be like...."remember way back when we used to get +175 odds on Lincecum?" I don't the he will keep getting these nice lines....he is a great talent.

    1 unit each

    Good Luck!

Going to try something new also.....

Milwaukee 1st Five Innings (-115) Vs. Philadelphia Freddie Garcia has only made it out of the 5th inning once in his three home starts. Hopefully Sheets has his A Stuff (which he has had in every start this year with the exception of two) and the Brewers can get to Freddie Garcia early (which has happened to him in most of his starts) and I can catch a cashed ticket on this 5 inning wager.

      1 unit

      Good Luck!

            Also got to play....

Florida (-115) Vs. Pittsburgh Whats worse, Armas this year or Armas vs. the Marlins lifetime? Armas is 0-3 (8.76) on the year. Vs. Florida he is 3-12 lifetime. He last beat them in July of 2004. Since then he is 0-4 (8.57) Vs. Florida. I mean those are just brutal numbers. Nolasco is 1-1 (6.06) but on the road he is 1-0 (2.00) in two starts. Anything about Florida does not matter...this is a complete fade of Tony Armas.

            1 unit

            Good Luck!

JB, when and why did they move Greinke to the bullpen?

Excatly a week ago (or close to it). It was the same day they activated Luke Hudson and I think he started last Thursday against Oakland. They activated Hudson and Elarton at the same time and sent Banniser down and moved Grienke to the pen.

Neither move made me happy to be honest. I think Bannister has done all he can do at AAA and they need to leave him up and in the rotation all year unless he just bombs. Gotta fine out if these kids are ready at some point.

Grienke won't be good in the pen I don't think. He has starters stuff....however he was getting rocked so I guess they feel like they gave him enough of a chance and had to try something different.

Anyway....it was about a week ago.

Thanks for the info JB. I saw him come in a game a few days ago, and now he's back in today. Hope this pen works out for him... would like to see KC hang on to win this one. 8)
