A's startert Paul Blackburn is scheduled to start for Oakland. His minor league ERA this season was 7.50 with a 2.17 WHIP. At this point in the season, the A's are running "just about anybody" out there to save money and get the first pick in the MLB draft. Blackburn's Major League ERA is over five.
As noted in the past 2 days analysis, the A's strike out a ton. They'll fish for balls out of the zone too, which is great for Sandy Alcantara who hasn't pitched as good as he did last season.
