    Saturday Baseball Pick: Oak/Mia

    YTD 36-22 +8.15 Units

Athletics starter Luis Medina isn't ready for the big leagues. He's allowed eight dongs over only 22 innings. Oakland is 0-5 in his five starts.

He pitched poorly in AAA as well, with a 7.43 ERA. Oddly, he started four games and only lasted a total of 13 innings. He doesn't give up a ton of hits, it's just that the hits he does give up leave the yard, which means he gets too much of the plate. There are muliple Marlins crushing the ball right now, so he's likely to get beat up at loanDepot Park.

Marlins hurler Eury Perez looks like a nice young prospect. He's pitched really well, allowing only 13 hits in 19 innings. He can be wild, but I'm not overly concerned about that because the free-swining A's striked out a ton. I'm betting the chalk here at -204.
