Good old Oliver. What a piece of work that guy is. If he wasn't a headcase, he'd be one of the most dominant lefties in the game.
Whoa, did i just talk about baseball? Uh oh....Comment

I would play devil's advocate, and say it is only the first 2 innings of his spring, but nahhh....Oliver blows bad. LOL.
Is Omar flipping through his little black book looking under "C" for Clemens? LMAO.Comment

The Mets have a ton of arms, really not worried. Perez was peppering the strike zone pretty good today and Peterson said that was all eh cared about. The first walk to Nefi Perez he fouled off 3 pitches before he got a walk out of it.
Pelfrey and Humber soon enough, and you heard it hear first... Jorge Sosa will be huge this year for the Metropolitans.

I think Oliver will be fine. He was such a force with Pittsburgh that first season... ever since they made him sit out winter ball the following year, it's been a mess. Hopefully he pulls it all together this year :confused:2010 NFL Football

He sat out because he had just pitched 200+ innings for the first time in his life. They were trying to avoid being the Cubs and running all their youngsters directly in to the ground. Oliver has been a head case his entire career and has lost 7-8 MPH on his fastball, which is the reason for his demise. He was throwing 89-91 in his final season in Pittsburgh after throwing 95-98 in his first season. If everything didn't go right for him he was a huge crybaby and was seen slapping at the ball on the mound and hanging his head. He HAD talent, but it seems it had all left him in his last year with Pittsburgh, and many fans couldn't wait to see him leave town because he gave them no chance to win when he took the hill. I hope he rebounds because I was always a fan of his, even when he was playing terribly, but I just don't forsee it.Comment

Now I can breathe again. ;)
Baseball, you either hate it or love it.
Half the Angel players were in Vegas last week and I dont know how it is with other teams but they party harder than I would like to see professional ball players do so.
Anyways, good luck to everyone!Comment

A's gunna clean up again...
Might be from Diego, but I spend my summers in Oakland (bleacher season ticket holder... best damn seats in the coliseum). Not too worried bout Zito & Big Hurt leaving. Piazza/Durazo/Stewart can fill Big Hurts shoes. Rotation has some serious potencial with Haren and Harden leading the pack. Geren, Beene's buddy, is getting along better with the players than K-Mach, and he's got the spirit to get this A's team on a roll. A's got that AL West wrapped up again. Angels bench reminds me of their AAA team, wouldn't even scare a 2 year old. March sucks! Can't wait for April, all this basketball is killin me...
Callin it now... A's to win AL West +210 - $100
- In fact, put me down for $10 on the A's opener against the Drunkies. Just for good measure. Swisher is JACKED... Fielder is FAT-er.“A goal is a dream with a deadline.”

Here's some pics of some baseball players partying it up. And, as usual, my Buccos have the ugliest ladies of them all.....
