(Also if beltran is traded today thats one bat out there lineup)
Chicago White Sox -113
Game 972 at 2:10 eastern. Chicago applies to a nice system that has cashed 17 of 22 times. We want to play on home favorites off a home dog loss by 1 run if they scored 4 or less runs vs an opponent off a road favored win by 1 run and scored 5 or more runs. This is the rubber game of the series and the Tigers have M. Scherzer on the mound. He has an elevated 5.26 road era compared to Chicago starter J. Danks who has a 3.00 Home era and has been superb of late with a 0.57 era over his past 3 starts. Look for the Whitesox to take the this one today. On Wednesday its the 2nd Half total of the Year backed with a 20-1 totals system leading the card that also contains a 90% system in one of the later games. Tuesday bases swept again as bases remains hot. Jump on and cash out on Hump day. For the free play take the Chicago Whitesox.
Atlanta Braves -165
The Braves got away with one last night on a blown call in the 19th inning to even the series against the Pirates. Things should not be as close tonight. Jair Jurrjens takes the hill for Atlanta and he is in prime bounce back mode following back-to-back poor outings. He allowed 10 runs in 11 innings in those games but despite that, the Braves pulled out wins in both. He is now 12-3 with a 2.44 ERA and 1.11 WHIP through 18 starts with Atlanta going 14-4 in those games. The Braves are 8-1 in his nine home starts as well.
Paul Maholm gets the ball for Pittsburgh and he is having a sensational season so far. He has a 3.26 ERA through 21 starts but the Pirates are only 7-14 in those games. They are 6-6 in his 12 home starts where he has posted a 2.37 ERA and 1.17 WHIP but the road has been a different story as they are 1-8 in nine starts with Maholm putting up a 4.45 ERA and 1.34 WHIP. Pittsburgh is averaging only 3.3 rpg in his road outings and it is 2-11 in his last 13 starts against National League East opponents.
The Braves will have a much easier time getting out of bed today since they’re at home and won last night’s marathon game. They have an excellent chance to cover the run line this evening with Jurrjens on the hill. The Atlanta right-hander is 12-3 (14-4 on the ML) with an ERA of 2.44 on the season. He’s 7-1 (8-1 on the ML) with an ERA of 2.52 at home. The Braves have won each of his last 6 starts, and 5 of those wins came by 2 runs or more. Pittsburgh’s Maholm is just 1-5 (1-8 on the ML) with an ERA of 4.45 on the road this year. 6 of those defeats have come by at least 2 runs. Bet the Braves ML
