Underdog System Thread

Gonna Play go through whole season if it doesnt get outta hand..

For those who don't know what i am doing its a progressive bet system, i bet in hopes the favorite doesn't sweep a series, i have had sucess but i have also quit when ahead and never finished the full season, gonna try this year to finish the whole year, since i have plenty of time on my hands.. well if it gets too the point where im down more than 30 units... ill just stop making the bets, but i plan on posting every play for system still so can have it tracked for a whole season...

I've been monitoring this one. Thinking about it a lot as well.

The conclusion I came to is that there has to be some book out there willing to take this play. See, if the fave does sweep a 3 game series you are down 7 units right there. That's a big hit considering you are chasing the other match ups to come out ahead a unit plus change. Meaning, if you had 6 matchups going you would have to go 5-1 to break even. 12 matchups needs to go 10-2. Obviously "essentially" because dogs can be +101 and up (max out at +300 or so).

So with that said, would I place on a -700 (or let's say even -500) on a series with the concept of the favorite won't sweep, I don't know how quick I would be to place on that.

System looks good though. Plus you said you have good history with it. It's just those are general calculations. I could be way off or missing something...

but its not the underdog team in the series, it the day 2 day underdog... the team can change.. also i had 2 favs sweep opening series... but to make money you want the bigger underdogs to pull a win out, not as much the close ones, cause if u can hit a +170 or better on day 2 or 3 you recover lost wages, i think the hardest part about playing this system is betting the udogg anyways when everything in your gut tells you they are not gonna win, especially on those days where you get an ace pitcher closing a series out against you, its like tossing the 4-8 units out the window...

than again in defense sabathia has lost many games as a -210 and bigger fav.. the nationals grabbed him for 2 +300 in last 2-3 years


i never stick with this through a whole year, i usually tend to wait for a big up swing and quit while its hot, but im gonna atleast logg it on here for the whole year so with or without the bets we can have a recorded version of how the system does...

I've been monitoring this one. Thinking about it a lot as well.

You know what else you could do is modify the system a little bit, play only a certain series you like based on relatively close match ups, or division match ups, or maybe even use a series with 2 really bad teams, or inconsistent teams... i have thought about trying that out as well, it would limit my plays but still use the theory of underdogs cashing once in a 3-4 game series...

I understand the system (UD for the game and the teams could change).
All chase systems are relatively the same. I like this one, has a little twist to it.
