    One for me

    Tex/SF over 5' 3 Units

This feels like the public side of the game but I think one of the pitchers cracks tonight. Texas does a very good job at manufacturing runs and this will be the best lineup that Lincecum has faced in his run of dominance. Plus Texas has players that can hit the ball out of SF's park. SF also leans very heavily to the right side of the plate and I think that can help against Lee. I realize he hasn't given up more than 1 run in his last 4 starts and while he does that a lot he typically throws in a clunker (4 runs or more) atleast every 4th start. He may do that while throwing 9 innings so it doesn't look as bad but I think SF can score a couple of runs. I like the long layoff and the low total. I don't have a lean on the side since I tend to think Lee's a better pitcher but I think the long rest actually favors Lincecum more. We'll you'll see.

I didn't have the eggs to take any overs with "Cy" Lee pitching so took Texas. Lincecum is surely hittable at home so this game could very easily go over. On the flip side, it wouldn't surprise me to see a 1-0 game either.

Texas is so hot right now. They may score 6 on their own.

"Cy" Lee is a figment of the media's imagination. A couple of postseason starts doesn't distort his entire body of work and during the season he sure had his share of hiccups, even while playing a good percentage of his games in Yellowstone, er Safeco. The media likes to propagate myths like "Big game plaayer or pitcher" when all they are really doing is looking at a hot streak during a small sample size. As the sample size increases the player reverts to the true ability. Look at Jeter and Arod in the postseason. Once is a "choker" and the other is "clutch" but after enough at bats they are pretty much in line with their career numbers for the most part. And just like CC, Lee's skill got blown out of proportion when he came to the NL and dominated light hitting lineups for 2 months. He is certainly a very good pitcher on a hell of a stretch in his career but he isn't Pedro in his prime.
