i have actually been saying that for the past year. he would do fine in a lineup where he was protected and wasn't counted on to be the guy. If he played for boston and hit 6th or the NYY or even hit 6th somewhere like Atlanta he would be fine. He would be OK in NY if he wasn't in the spotlight. I think the reds could get some value from him. He is just a black hole in that lineup and he strikes out so much and hits for such a ****ty average that they need to find someone who would take him and they could get something in return. new ownership really is trying to put a good product on the field in cincinnati....the old crew messed it up so bad that it may be a while. And stif....the Reds 1,2 and 3 starters have been very good this year. Arroyo is the victim of no run support and harang and loshe have pitched well for the most part. That lineup can't score.
Lohse however, has pitched above his head IMO. He's showed signs of being good in the past with Minnesota too, only to revert back to his 5.00+ ERA self after a few good starts. I'm not saying a guy can't improve, but just that I'd be weary with him. I mean it looked like he was throwing batting practice to the Cardinals last time he started. My point is that he's just so inconsistant, and it seems to be his bad side rather than his good side that shows up more often than not.
And how bout those Padres?? Nice brand of defense they played there in the 9th!! What was up with that dildo at 1B fielding the bunt and trying to get the MEANINGLESS lead runner with a 2 run lead in the 9th, and getting no one in the process? Doesn't anyone teach these guys fundamentals? GET THE OUT STUPID.
Anyway, that's 2 more times yesterday....and from Detroit and San Diego....teams who ARE supposed to be able to finish games, each with a 2 run lead late. Yep FF, I'm still far and away the king of getting screwed late :beerbang: :beerbang:Comment
