A couple for tonight. I'm actually surprised that I'm not getting more value on Houston and Baltimore.
Baltimore +130 3 Units
Matusz has been all or nothing of late and more and more all than nothing. He has faced Boston 3 times while not allowing more than 3 runs. Tonight he gets the weakest Boston lineup yet and I don't see anything that points to him throwing up a clunker. Beckett on the other hand has reverted to his 6 inning, get blown up in an inning self. I don't think Boston can win unless they go Beckett, Bard, Papsmear and even if they do I think Baltimore has a fighting chance.
Houston +125 3 units
Money coming in hand over fist on the Cards and one of their "Big 3" even though WayRod has been great lately.
Toronto +135 2 Units
All 3 of the dogs have something in common, they aren't in a playoff chase while the 3 favs are supposedly "playing for something" and in 2 of 3 in "must win" situations. IMO the players on the 3 dogs have something more important to play for, a major league job. Most of the players on the three dogs don't have the comfort of a Beckett and his long term contract. They are fighting for major league jobs and the guaranteed jobs that come with it. I think that providing for your family is a more important thing to play for than a playoff spot for most players.
