I'm the Astros, but MLB picks for Tuesday

Can't win to save my arse, even when I don't post, so for what it's worth.

Pitt. (Maholm) +175 - Maholm beat Lincecum once last year, and has beaten Cain twice (also lost twice) in the past two years, so why not.

Ariz. (Kennedy) + 150 - This is my F-U from the baseball gods pick. Torre had Padilla start twice, including opening day on the road JUST so he could set the rotation for Kershaw to get the home opener. Kershaw had like 6 walks in his first game, all amped up on opening day will help his control issues. Plus, the guy never goes more than 5 innings. I say it all comes back to bite Torre and the Dodgers in the ass ... therefore, Arizona and Kennedy whom most of the Dodgers have never faced.

Cinn. (Arroyo) +110 - Another dog play on Arroyo, who's been filthy since like last August. Only once has he allowed more than a run (it was 3) and he's gone 7 frames or more in all of them. The perfect pitcher for the Reds after last night's extra inning game.

Kennedy is a good pitcher. Nice value there.

I agree on Kennedy even with the outing today. A couple of big flies do him in again. I think overall he will be fairly consistent and force hitters to beat him. I expect him to be pretty valuable this year. Kershaw is tough because he throws so many balls but when he actually does come in the zone he is usually incredible.

I also agree with you on Arroyo who I think is undervalued and helps them stay out of the pen when he pitches. I am on the under there because I think the more limited NL lineups will be good for Robertson as well.

As for Maholm...atleast you are in the minority (not a bad place to be a lot of the time). :glass::glass:
