    2010 World Series Predictions

Feel free to post your World Series predictions for 2010. My pick is Chicago Cubs because damn it they are due! Who do I think is their opponent in this series you might ask? The NYY.

Cubs win it in 6 games, 4-2.

    Who do you guys got?

I'm gonna say the Seattle Mariners.

How would you like to go against:

    1. Felix Hernandez
    2. Cliff Lee
    3. Erik Bedard (albeit he wont join rotation until a couple mo. into the season

They've added some sticks too with Milton Bradley, Chone Figgins and Casey Kotchman. All upgrades from their previous guys.

I think the M's make some noise this year!

lol let me tell ya something about Felix... he ain't the King!!!

Milton Bradley just might be the T.O. of MLB.... he surely did not help the Cubs.

Cliff Lee is the real deal however!

Check out the rest of the staff for the Mariners... great 1-2 in pitching and top of the lineup... would be very, very scary in short playoffs, but can they get there?

Red Sox rotation should be nasty. They could be very dangerous in any playoff series.

I'm gonna cheat a little and pick two teams that I think will do really well from both conferences.

                  AL - Rays and Twins
                  NL - Giants and Reds

OK , you guys can laugh now ....LOL

dude- if Detroit has a better than .500 record i would be shocked.

i mean i almost feel like following that up with a Red Sox/Reds prediction...:hide:

actually i will go with something probably pretty predictable.
                      ALE- Red Sox
                      ALC- Twins
                      ALW- Angels
                      WC- Yankees
                      ALCS Winner- Red Sox

NLE- Phillies (though i do think the Braves and mets close the gap significantly. phills are getting old too)
NLC- STL i guess but honestly could probably be anyone but the strohs and pirates.
NLW- COL but another one that could probably go to any of 4 teams. 90 wins may win this division.
                      WC- Braves
                      NLCS Winner- STL

WS Red Sox over STL in 7

                      tigers.....

Each play is to win the # of units posted unless it's a dog then I'm betting that amount.

alwasy kind of interesting to go back and see how things panned out versus April. Got 1/2 the playoff picture right and was correct on the Braves resurgence......91 wins won the West but it wasn't Colorado. Think the biggest surprise for me was just how bad a baseball team the Angels were this year. They had injuries as did the Red Sox but honestly, IMO, i still don't think in the end either team was very good this year. Lackey finished 14-11 with a 4.50 ERA which validated the Angels letting him go IMO.

Still shocked at STL collapse down the stretch. Then again this may be the case of a couple superstars and a bunch of trash won't win a pennant...... but props to my Reds....certainly glad i was wrong about that one.....:beerbang:

yeah, and not with the "usual suspects" either.

I really didn't see the Giants thing coming, though, I think we all knew they had great SP. I also thought the Reds were a year away and am still shocked that STL left Cincy with a 1 game lead in August and then proceeded to lose to the Cubs, Brewers, Astros and Pirates about 100 x over the next 6 weeks.
