Only 5 games to choose from for tonight. Here's the winners...
TORONTO B-JAYS (-125) = *3.75 Units
- Maroth has been clobbered by the Jays in the past. Active roster is hitting .382 with 10 HR's in 157 ABs. This is Detroit's first look at Ohka, who despite tossing a 4-run inning against Tampa Bay his last time out, is a decent ground ball pitcher. Detroit's once reliable bullpen has been anything but so far this year. With a 5.48 ERA, I'll give the edge to Toronto's bullpen holding hitters to a tune of .204 so far this year, with a sub-3.00 ERA. While it could be said that both these starters are nothing to get excited about, Toronto is hitting .410 close and late so far this year... I'm loving the Jays tonight.
NEW YORK METS (-145) = *4.35 Units *POD PICK*
- Loving Glavine as he makes his first start at Shea this year. It's no secret that he's been pretty dominant at Shea over the past few years, clearly giving the Mets the upper hand tonight. I'd expect Delgado to come alive tonight and knock at least 1 out and help the Mets, who are the best run producing team in the NL at night. This Mets lineup is just too powerful I think to leave Glavine with the loss. Better hitting + better starter + better bullpen = Mets.
Thinking about the later two games still... BOLT! :beerbang:
