      That was sweet.

First Joe Nathan blows a 2 run lead in 9th with 2 out and nobody on.

Then Brian Bannister starts a game with a sore shoulder, gives up 3 in first inning, gets the next guy out, then is pulled for the shoulder and some Japanese gas can goes nuclear and gives up a grand slam in the 2nd.

      :puke:

      UGH

      Cleveland +146 ................................................3*

Hopefully Laffey can pitch a decent game.

Two ways to look at that SF game yesterday.

Anytime someone is +175 and they give up just 1 run but manage to lose 1-0, that's tough.

But, when you only get 2 hits and get shutout, like you said, that's nothing to expect a win when backing either.

And, not to sound like any type of expert or have this come off the wrong way, but why on earth would you back KC right now, at any price? They blow just extremely bad. They should be a minimum of +200 in every game, and much more against anyone who doesn't blow almost as bad, imho.

I was watching them play 2 nights ago I believe it was at Oakland. The night they took the lead in the first inning, then blew it shortly thereafter. You could just see where that game was going the whole time once OAK started getting on the scoreboard....KC guys hanging their heads, missing assignments on defense, making mental mistakes, and generally not having their heads in the game 100%.

Talk about a team that just wants it all to be over.....

A few reasons, although not strong ones, I backed KC.

              1. Oakland sucks almost as bad. Not even .500 at home. KC already beat them once this series and took 2 of 4 vs. Sea.

              2. Bannister is a decent pitcher and has been better than Cahill. But obviously he was hurt before the game even started. +146 breaks even with .400 ball which is right around KCs winning pct.

Both hits were leadoff hits. Leadoff double in 2nd inning. Leadoff single in 9th. Guy got picked off. Next batter walked, so could have had 2 on with none out.

1-0 loss sucks regardless of situation.
