    Chuck's Saturday plays

Had to take a few days off after going 3-3 but losing 4 units due to putting 5 units on the Phillies and them subsequently sucking it up. Oh well... 1 play for the afternoon games:

NYY -137: I like the way those Yanks are hitting lefties. Will take a gamble on them in this spot today.

More likely to come later. GL everyone!

Rays -280 (to win 2 units): This is a lot of chalk, but everything points to the Rays to win this game (as the line suggests!). Probably could have (or maybe should have lol) taken the RL at -138. Royals are terrible on the road (17-30) and the Rays are fantastic at home (32-17). Bruce Chen for the Royals is 0-5 with a road ERA of 8.05 in 19 innings of work. Jeff Niemann on the other hand is 9-5 and has a home ERA of 3.26. Again, this is a lot of chalk, but I have enough confidence in the Rays today to justify the risk.

        thx aka. Three more plays:

Brewers/Padres over 8 -107: Couple of crappy teams with Mike Burns pitching for the Brewers with a road ERA of 8.49 and mediocre Clayton Richard pitching for the Padres. Also as insurance, the bullpens for both teams are par to sub-par in my opinion. I think one of these teams can reach this total by themselves today. Total being set at 8 is kind of fishy though.

Rockies -142: Well, the Reds are just terrible and this is a reasonable price to go against them.

Mariners/Rangers under 8 -107: The combined over-under record for both of these teams is 72-124. Put Tommy Hunter and Felix Hernandez on the mound and I'll take a shot at the under.
