GL today Stif. I'm on Cleveland tonight. The Royals have only won 3 of their last 17 games. That's a winning percentage of 17%. Got a good pitcher in Cliff Lee @ -215 pitching at home which means the Indians need to win this game 68% of the time to justify playing it. That's my reasoning behind paying the juice. So for me it's not just soley trusting the Indians as it is trusting the Royals likely won't win. That being said watch the Royals crush the Indians tonight.

Stif in my opinion Pitt is tanking rather quickly. Your best bet with them is +1.5. The entire team is still ticked off after they traded away there best player to my Braves. Yes they did battle last night and cameback but the dis-heartened loss and also there starter tommorrow is the one who got beat already lol. The braves announcers were making fun of the Pitt Bullpen in the 15th inning saying the guy with his blower was warming up for the butt pirates.

I agree with those points. KC sucks. Maybe I am just seeing the +200 and making a stupid decision, i don't know. I mean it's more of a situation for me here, where as much as I don't have anything positive to say about KC, I can't say much more for Cleveland, other than the Cliff Lee is pretty good.

As much as KC sucks (oh, and they do, lol), Cleveland really isn't very good either. I mean I have come to understand these -230 and more lines when a GOOD team with a good pitcher is getting them. No doubt Lee is a good pitcher, but CLE just isn't a good team. They are so inconsistent offensively, and their pen is mostly crap as well, should Lee not be completely at the top of his game.

As much as I think he's average at best, Bannister also has good career numbers vs the Tribe, for what that's worth.

CLE is just 3-9 this year when Cliff Lee starts. They are a team who finds ways to lose. Many of the games he starts are close and low scoring. That doesn't seem out of the question tonight with KC's garbage offense and Bannister's decent track record vs the Tribe. If it comes down to being a close game, I like having +200 period, let alone against a team who seems to find ways to blow it in close games more often than not.

It's not Lee that I dislike in that game, it's the Indians in general.

I also sometimes like to go against a team just coming back from a road trip if they are off a win in their last game, as it seems sometimes they aren't exactly up for the game and start off a little sluggish in the beginning, which also plays into the possibility that the game could remain close and low scoring.

As far as Pittsburgh, I don't think they're quitting from watching the game last night. They have some douche bags on the team, but they also have some guys who can play and want to be out there too. That was the Braves announcers making a fuss out of them trading away Nate McLouth, which really means nothing. Who cares what those guys think? I mean it's not exactly comparable to SF letting Bonds go in 2002 or something, or the Yanks letting Jeter go for a "player to be named later". Those things would be big news. But Nate McLouth? Guys like him are traded every year. I mean the guy is hitting freakin .258. He's an alright player, and I'm sure a positive addition for the Braves, but that's about it.

Maybe the Pirates wanted to dump his 2.5 million salary because they have a guy (McCutchen) who is better, younger, and is getting paid far less?? Makes sense.....
