    monday bases

    Favorites (60-63)(-17.34)
    Underdogs (42-47)(+5.37)
    Runlines (9-9)(+110)
    Totals (15-9)(+5.07)
    Parlays (14-23)(-5.50)

    Overall (140-151)(-11.09)

5-3 picking up 1.89 units on Sunday. Not as good as I had hoped, but anything plus at this point is good. Missed the two day games today, here is what I like for Monday night on a short card.

Texas -150 vs Toronto………..My rule on a single bet is to not lay anything over -150, so this is my limit. If this were higher I would simply have played the runline. Texas is hot, they are pounding the ball and now they come home to face a poor road team in Toronto. Even the pitching matchup favors Texas in a big way. This one should not be close.

Pittsburgh +122 vs Atlanta…………I don’t think this pirate team is a bad as most think. They go through streaks where they cannot hit the ball and that is not the case right now. They are scrappy and Zach Duke looks more like the pitcher back when he was a rookie. Nothing special about Atlanta or their pitcher tonight. Home field not huge as Atlanta has a losing record at home. Bucs also playing well vs the NL East this season so far at 11-5.

San Fran +123 vs Florida……….Now that the big unit got win number 300, some of the pressure is off him and he can relax. I am simply going with his 8-1 career record vs the marlins and getting him as a dog is what pulled me in.

I think I will stop at three games with such a short card. I am off work tomorrow, so I will be back late morning with all my plays.

GL today Mark. With you on Texas. I was looking at that Pirates/Braves game but I decided not to touch that one since Pirates traded Nate McLouth a few days ago to the Braves for pretty much nothing. I'll personally not be putting any money on the Pirates (at least for a while to see how things play out) as it seems their front office has no real desire to win. GL on it though, & hope you make those bookies pay!
