    SaTURDay 6/6

Last night was not good, although it could have been worse if Brad "Is that Albert Pujols in the batters box?" Lidge hadn't come thru for me :beerbang:

Ironically, I like the Phils to bounce back today. Clearly, despite that rally, it seems the Dodgers are slumping. Moyer is a pitcher they should demolish, and they did not. Plus, their offense has been a little dormant lately leading up to that game as well....so i can only deduce they are in a bit of a cold slump right now.

    So, at 4:00 I'm playing:

    Seattle +100
    Phillies +105

    3 units each

I'm sure there will be a few more later. Unfortunately it looks as though I will be forced to play the Natinals again. It pains me to do it, but it's not like the Mutts are really playing any better. At least the SP matchup favors the Natinals today, and they are at plus money, even though it's barely plus. For whatever reason, the books continue to beg for money on whomever is playing the Natinals, and I am stupid enough to keep thinking they might be right that this ******** team might actually turn it around and win a few games....which of course they probably will not.

I thought you were gonna jump on KC and or TBay at 1pm those lines were out of whack Yanks -200 although TBay hasn't beat many winning teams they can hit and KC is horrible but the Jays have been slumping in the last month.

I wasn't home to really do anything with those early games, but I would have probably played both overs if anything.

        adding:

        Tigers -146

How long will Escobarf go? Beats me, but once he leaves, that pen comes in, which is dead last in mlb. That might be a cure for Detroit's offensive woes, if a rusty Escobarf is not. I have no problem in backing Jackson at this price either.

        Houston -156

Maholmo blows on the road. Oswalt not as strong as years past, but looked like he was getting it together a bit when i watched him pitch in his last start, and he still should be able to be pretty good vs Pittsburgh at home. Good motivator for HOU is that the can pass PIT and get out of the cellar with a W here.

        ****ty Nats +105

Gave my reasoning above. It will lose, regardless.

        Boston rl -120

Might as well just take only the rl in a game that looks lopsided on paper. Not laying over -200 against a team as good as Texas, and I figure if i'm right in my handicapping and Boston wins, it should be easily, so i'll lay the rl. If the capable Texas bats tee off on Lester (which is entirely possible with the way he's been up and down), then I save some dough, and if BOS wins by 1, then so be it. I liked Lester in his last start, and he has been solid career at home. One more factor I like is a solid BOS home team off a home loss, against an average Texas road team. Huge pen advantage to BOS as well.

        St Louis -132

These guys are bums at the plate lately with the exception of Pujols, but I almost have to auto fade COL on the road at a price like this, and with the line movement what it was on this game. Possibly a mistake, with the way STL has been hitting, however.

        Speds +120

Another spot where I just to have to almost auto fade the struggling Flubs as this large of a road fave. It just doesn't make much sense. I believe they are riding the rep of last year yet in the public's eyes., but in reality aren't nearly the same team. Like the Speds bulpen advantage if it comes down to a close one late, which is very possible, imo.

        2 units each

        Tigers rl +130
        Houston rl +130
        Cardinals rl +160

        1/2 unit each

          LOLidge

I guess one good year is better than nothing....but he's pretty much Billy Koch material now.

His ERA must be over 8 by this point

So much for Oswalt too. He looks like a tremendous fade for the reason of the season

Adding plays on the last 2 games:

              A's -113

Might as well. One of the worst road teams in mlb, against a hot A's team. I never get A's games right, though....

              Padres/D'backs under 7.5 -125

As long as neither one of these teams has acquired Brad Lidge or Roy Boy Oswalt, this should be a pretty good play...

              2 units each

              A's rl +170

              1/2 unit

                Natinals finally win one

And how about Edwin Jackson. Throwing 99 in the 9th inning :beerbang:
