KC sucks. Shields dominant at home. Anything can happen in baseball, but KC's outlook doesn't look too bright today, imo....while TB can hit .500 with a win, at home, with their ace on the hill, against a **** team who can't hit. I have to pay the price and hope it's not "one of those days"
SF Giants (gm 1 w/the unit) +122
I know....the whole world is on this one. But that's just because Unit goes for #300. That doesn't change the fact that the Natinals plain blow. I don't have to type out any numbers to support it.
And the myth that they are probably a good play just because they're favored? 3-7 and -5.30 units as a fave is not very profitable. These bums just find ways to lose, plain and simple.
And if they win this one, I can always try again in game 2 behind Cain, since the thought of the Natinals sweeping a DH from anyone, even the Giants who aren't particularly awesome on the road....and winning 3 straight games overall sounds like something to fade to me.
I hate being with the public when they're so strongly on a side, but, I'm gonna try it here.
Brewers +147
The Marlins blow. They should never be this big of a fave against anyone, except maybe those Natinals. Taking a completely blind stab at the Brew Crew here simply because this line is stupid.
Braves -136
Prefer the real ace, Jurrjens, over the hot head who has a decent start once and a while, and is plagued by injuries, Zambrano. Cubs not a real great team right now, either, and their manager is mentally challenged, to put it nicely. Hope this is an up day for that erratic Braves offense. Hopefully the pick up of McLouth is a good addition for them....at least tonight.
LA Dodgers/Phillies over 8 -105
Both teams hit lefties well, and both offenses among the tops in the league. The whole world is on the under here, just on the name recognition of the 2 pitchers.
On a side note, I think Kershaw may get blasted tonight, and may add the Phillies side as well. He hasn't been all that great lately, seeming to lack both confidence and control (save almost no hitting the pathetic Marlins), and a patient and experienced offense like Philly's should be able to make him work, possibly take a few walks, and hopefully see some good pitches to hit as well. The only thing keeping me off the Phils side right now is LA's 12-4 record vs LHP and 20-6 record @ home.
